  • Summary: The Rapid-i is a solid gaming keyboard that also feels great for everyday typing. We were disappointed by missing customization options but pleased that the Rapid-i performs so well in all of the other categories. With NKRO, powerful backlighting and excellent build quality, the QuickFire Rapid-i is a strong contender in our lineup.
  • Pros: This keyboard has NKRO and powerful backlighting.
  • Cons: There aren't any macro keys.

Cooler Master CM Storm QuickFire Rapid-I Tenkeyless Mechanical Gaming Keyboard Review

24 June 2014
  • Summary: What I like about the keyboard is the size, it’s so compact that it’s easy to bring along for LAN Party and it also means you free up quite a lot of table real-estate. Your arms need not open like a bear just to enjoy your games.

Cooler Master Quickfire Rapid-I

6 June 2014
  • Conclusion: As of this article, I have published over 650 reviews. Of those reviews there are only a few products that have gotten more use over the years than my Quickfire Rapid. I loved it so much that I even talked Cooler Master into handing over one with Cherry Black switches back at GForceLAN, when they only sold the Rapid with Blues. They have been with me at just about every LAN between then and now due to their compact size and durability.

CM Storm Quickfire Rapid Keyboard

Benchmark Reviews
2 April 2012
  • Conclusion: Performance of a keyboard is about being able to quickly and accurately type and game at all times. Thankfully, because of the fantastic Cherry MX Blue switches accuracy is not a problem that the QuickFire Rapid suffers from. When the QuickFire Rapid is compared to the standard HP keyboard that my school uses I am seeing at least a 20-25% increase in speed and accuracy while working on my studies.
  • Pros: Space saving design, Haptic feedback helps increase typing speed, 2 year warrenty, Full NKRO with included PS/2 adapter
  • Cons: Loud key actuations, Quite basic for its $80 asking price, No number pad

Cooler Master Storm QuickFire Rapid Keyboard

27 January 2012
  • Conclusion: Cooler Master did something different with the Quickfire Rapid, they put together a keyboard that is unlike almost anything on the market (other the Filco that it’s based on) at a price point that is cheaper than most of the competition. It’s not for everyone obviously but if you are looking to save a little table space or you travel this is a perfect keyboard for you. I pack this one up with my gaming laptop anytime I am going anywhere and absolutely love it!

Cooler Master CM Storm QuickFire Rapid Review

16 January 2012
  • Conclusion: There seems to be two camps in gaming keyboards right now. One of these camps believes in macro keys, built-in macro recording, LCD screens and other fancy features. The other doesn’t care for that, and feels that it’s more important to have a solid keyboard with excellent key feel. Personally, I fall into the second camp.
  • Pros: Affordable, Excellent key feel for typing, Different models offer different key switches, Good build quality, Lack of numpad allows for better mouse position
  • Cons: No macro keys

Cooler Master CM Storm Quickfire Rapid-I

4 July 2014

Tom's Hardware Guide
15 August 2012
