Amazing keyboard, terrible RMA process
Erik W., Newegg
15 July 2015
Summary: My next mechanical will probably be without a 10-key and fully back-lit.
Pros: Keyboard feels amazing. The MX brown switches are a perfect balance between reds and blues. The keyboard and the keys feel super sturdy and have proven to be very accurate. I type much faster on this keyboard.
Cons: I thought I'd be okay with the partial backlighting, but it really leaves me wanting more... The P key on my board stopped working after little over a year. Thankfully it was under warranty... except for the fact that it took them ***6 months*** to ship me a replacement keyboard! Yes, I sent it t...
Summary: This keyboard is just a constant disappointment, especially now that I'm really needing a keyboard that's actually backlit in a useful way but will cost me another $100+. I wanted to have this keyboard for 15 years like my last mechanical keyboard but it's just too frustrating.
Pros: Good solid keyboard, typing is very nice. Heavy, so it's not moving all over the place. Looks manly.
Cons: The backlights and coloring of the keyboard. For some reason with this keyboard they decided to not only put backlighting on only 25% of the keys but to make the keys grey on black? I've been trying to figure out how having WASD and 1-5 lit but nothing else is beneficial at all. I've never looked...
Summary: I am hopeful this gets resolved soon, I will edit the rating and review accordingly. I have sent in a request @ cooler masters site.
Pros: Feel to mx browns, 1ms polling, Full NKRO.
Cons: The keyboard does not sit flat on my desk (or counter, or table... my previous one does). I see another user posted the same issue. Placing a nickle under the front left rubber pad mostly stops the keyboard from tilting but now makes it prone to sliding.
Summary: Not too much to say, I suppose I will be buying a new keyboard ASAP. Just trying to add another warning to possible consumers out there.
Pros: Worked great while it lasted. Keys were responsive and had a great feel to them. This was my first mechanical keyboard and at the beginning I was very satisfied. It felt much better than a regular keyboard and there were no problems.
Cons: As with many products, there were a good few complaints about the keyboard not lasting long. As I've done numerous other times I decided to buy it anyway. It turns out that this time those warnings actually rang true for me. Only 6 months in I have run into problems. First the backspace went out ...
Summary: I will continue to use the keyboard because I cannot really tell anything is wrong with it as long as I have paper folded up leveling the keyboard out. I will not be purchasing another Cooler Master product in the near future. I hope to hear back from them soon but you never know.
Pros: This keyboard is absolutely, positively awesome. The tactile feedback of the brown switches is phenomenal. The keyboard is solidly designed and surprisingly heavy. I do not really care for the backlighting, but that is really not the reason why I purchased it.
Cons: This is where the glowing review ends, unfortunately. The second I put the keyboard on my desk I realized that it cannot sit flat on my desk. I tried setting it on different flat surfaces in my home to ensure it wasn't my desk. Indeed, the rubber feet at the bottom of the keyboard are not a unifo...
Great keyboard that doesn't work with AMD FXA Motherboards
Paul L., Newegg
19 February 2014
Summary: Found out this keyboard doesn't work with the newer AMD motherboards. Got a new computer and couldn't get the keyboard to work. After a lot of troubleshooting and headaches, I finally got a response from Cooler Master saying I need to buy a powered USB hub for the keyboard to work, as the keyboard...
Pros: -Feels great -Responsive
Cons: -Doesn't work with my new computer -Only partially backlit
Pros: The MX Brown switches are nice, the keyboard is very solid and stays in place.
Cons: THERE'S NO APPLICATION KEY! (that's the key to the left of Right CTRL that opens contextual menus). Instead this has been replaced with the FN key for the keyboard functions. Why a keyboard with a key dedicated to disabling the windows key would opt to include a second windows key while omitting ...
Pros: My first mechanical keyboard, and overall I must say it's awesome! - Feels great, keys are very responsive. Brown switches are really comfortable - Sounds awesome (gotta love that click clack) - Partially backlit, with adjustable brightness. Fade in-out mode is pretty sweet - Functions seem usefu...
Cons: My experience with the keyboard didn't start off that great. I was expecting to just plug and play, but nope. The keyboard arrived and I was really excited to try it out. Plugged it into my USB, and nothing. The keyboard wouldn't recognize in Windows. After doing some research, I saw that many ha...
Pros: * Inexpensive for a mechanical keyboard * Solid construction * Keys aren't too noisy
Cons: * Keyboard is extremely high (the spacebar is about an inch and a half tall), this makes it uncomfortable to use the keyboard without a wrist rest, this reason made me give this keyboard a 3 out of 5, though I would give it a 7 out of 10 * The spacebar is unusually loud compared to the rest of th...
