Summary: It was not any quieter than my Toshiba Satellite Pro Keyboard. I just ordered one of those rubber keyboards you rollup and I will try that. I am not saying its not a quiet keyboard, just not quiet enough. It probably is a decent keyboard but I returned it. I need a very quiet keyboard so I do not wake my roommate.
Summary: Okay, so this keyboard does not have all the fancy bells and whistles like many Logitech and Microsoft keyboards; however, Cherry keyboards are a leader in office, industrial, and medical applications. The switches used in these keyboards are proven and tested to be durable. This keyboard itself is a slim model and has low profile ultra quiet keys. They switches are very quiet, but they are also very responsive and have a fast travel.
Summary: I took this out of the box, plugged it in, and off we went. I bought this keyboard specifically because I do a lot of note taking in a public environment (I'm a District Clerk for a large Sanitary District). I heard from several regular attendees of our meetings that my typing noise was distracting to them. This keyboard will definitely not be a distraction. Wow, is it ever quiet. I love it. I'm only giving 4 stars right now because it's fresh out of the box.
Summary: I use these for pc repair. The USB and ps2 support make them great. They type like a good quality laptop keyboard and are very quiet. Havn't had trouble with them yet and I've been using a few for over a year now.
Soft keys, good touch, but worn out after one year

Summary: the letters rubbed off the most frequent keys after 4 months, some of the keys get stuck and ctrl x and y don't work very well. comfortable and very quiet but not very hard wearing at all. I won't be buying another keyboard of this brand.
Summary: Silent, easy and soft key stroke, I play all the FIFAs on this, and have no problems for 2 years, still great, left some coffee and water on it, still good. My colleagues want this also, cheap and best keyboard around, for gaming and writing, or working.
Summary: This is a good solid keyboard. Well build with good looks too in my opinion. My last keyboard was a gaming one form another company, but the top row of querty keys stopped working after 5 month. The old one felt a little flexible and had all the bells and whistles including changing the key illumination colours. The Cherry has'nt all those extras but i haven't missed them either! The Cherry is splash resistant from drinks according to the info included.
Summary: I write for a living and a good keyboard is a prerequisite. After using a much cheaper keyboard for a few months I did some research and many reviews/sites pointed to this model. I have been using it for a few months now and it is a pleasure to use, with a lovely tactile feel to it. It is also nice and sturdy and doesn't creek or creap like my old one.
