Good mechanical keyboard

Michael A., Newegg
12 August 2015
  • Summary: I don't use this keyboard daily as I didn't really enjoy the layout for typing I kept making too many mistakes. I do use a Cherry G84-5500 everyday though for my living room computer because of the attached touch mouse pad, very happy with the touch pad by the way.
  • Pros: Mechanical keyboard at a decent price Has all the keys Also has the euro symbol but can't figure how to use it Very small form factor which could also act as a con Not much travel force to activate the keys
  • Cons: Small form factor hard to get used to Different layout from most other keyboards Not easy to get use too

  • Summary: Maybe if I sprayed WD40 in the keys...it might be smoother? So disappointed!
  • Pros: it has keys
  • Cons: If you want a $20 keyboard (that's stretching it) and throw away the other $49 -- choose this!

Great keyboard; just a little cramped

Gregory C., Newegg
13 August 2012
  • Summary: I brought the keyboard with me to work for a week so I could get used to it. That helped a lot.
  • Pros: Key action is great. This is my first mechanical switch keyboard, and I'll never go back.
  • Cons: Biggest problem is the placement of the 'ENTER' and '/' key. My pinky still hits the '/' at least 50% of the time. It feels a little cramped compared to a full-size keyboard, but just slightly. A few days of constant use and it'll feel pretty normal.

Excellent small keyboard!

  • Summary: Anyone the loves small boards will love this board. The one other small board to consider is the I-Rocks KR-6820E-BK 104 keys, but it has mushier key action and is slightly larger. Reason I mention it, is that the I-Rocks costs less than half what this Cherry costs.
  • Pros: 1. Very good key action. 2. Surprisingly small, yet doesn't feel small. See Other Thoughts. 3. Good key placement, with the proviso that all small boards have odd key placement. See Other Thoughts. 4. Two Ctrl keys (and Alt keys too), and I like the left Alt key placement of this board. 5. Love h...
  • Cons: The one key I don't like is the Enter key. Hard to find with my right pinky finger. A very minor quibble.
