BenQ X730 Wireless Desktop Companion Pro

3 November 2008
  • Summary: BenQ's X730 Wireless Desktop Companion Pro mostly hits all of the right notes in its quest to infiltrate the high-end input market. Serious typists, however, should beware.
  • Pros: Unique design; sturdy scrollwheels; easy-to-find volume knob; media buttons work with many applications.
  • Cons: Awkward concave keyboard causes too many typos.

BenQ x730 Wireless Desktop Companion Pro

PC Magazine

  • Excerpt: You'll find the BenQ x730 in the executive suite. This slim keyboard-and-mouse combo, designed by BMW Group DesignworksUSA, impressed us with its spare, elegant style. We like the way the curved silver keyboard sits in a black stand and can slide back and up for a more comfortable working angle. Because it has such a slender profile, the keys don't have much key travel, so they're not the most comfortable to type on; they're more like laptop keys.
