Summary: Setup was really easy. It takes a little getting used to, but once you are familiar with the layout then this will be so much better than your keyboard. Excellent build quality - the only questionable thing there is the thumb/spacebar button feels a little flimsier than the other buttons, but it's not like it feels like it's breaking. I trained myself to be more gentle with that button than I am with a normal keyboard.
Pros: Easy To Use, Excellent Build Quality, Fast Setup, Improved Game Play
Summary: Currently, I'm using the 52te for Heroes of Newerth, but I will be using one of the other profiles for Starcraft 2 shortly. Programming the buttons is very easy, but picking the proper setup is more difficult. I was quickly frustrated because I kept hitting the wrong buttons, but after thinking about it -- I had (for some odd reason) reversed the keyboard commands with the 52te setup. Oops.
Pros: Easy to Program, Excellent Design, Fast Setup
Summary: I'm not a gamer. I bought this to manage the many key commands you have when using a computer based digital audio work station. Speeds up many functions and allows you to keep your left hand for command functions and macros and your right hand on the computer track pad or my AlphaTrack fader and transport controller. Musicians should check this out to add to their recording setup. The quality is very good and looks way cool.
Summary: I own the older version of this gampad and have been a strong advocate for it's use. I feel that I have a lot more control in the games with it in comparison to keyboard only. It is definitely more ergonomic for long stretches of gaming. I recommend it for anyone that like to game. It's one flaw is the quality of the software interface. Belkin/Razor needs to step it up here.
Pros: Easy To Use, Fast Setup, Greater Control, Improved Flexibility, Improved Game Play
Summary: Bought for my son's birthday. It took 3 months to get to us. Operators kept saying it would be in next week. If the item is on backorder, Forget it! Having said that, my son says that he loves it and it makes WOW much easier to play.
Summary: Simply the best FPS controller made after you get used to it and learn to program it...It will automatically load the proper template for each of your games and allows you to perform most all of the game functions without removing your fingers from the movement keys...The ability to strafe while changing weapons, reloading, and healing all at once is invaluable and really makes a tremendous difference in multiplayer games.
Summary: I purchased this to replace a damaged Ideazon Fang. The ergonomics of the n52te are far superior to the Fang, but the ease of use is not. It took me about a week to get to the point where I am comfortable using it in game. Once you get used to it, the device is quite enjoyable to use. My only wish is that there were about 5 more buttons on it. This is one area that the Fang beats it hands down.
Summary: I bought the Belkin primarily for use with World of Warcraft. I also bought the Razor Naga mouse with the 12 buttons on the side. Both are good but I find the Belkin much easier to use with a very good interface to easily map the buttons. The pad is very comfortable and adjustable for different hand sizes. I wore out my laptop keyboard playing WoW and this will keep my new laptop's keyboard in good shape.
