Summary: In short do not buy it, spend a bit more money and get a quality keyboard.
Pros: The touchpad is located in a good area where you can access it easily with your thumbs. It is not in a area that the palms would accidently hit it.
Cons: I have purchased two of these keyboards. Both have failed for the same reason. The touchpad switches fail after a period of time. The first keyboard failed just after a year and was out of warranty. The second failed after 10 months and I'm in the process of requesting an RMA.
Summary: This keyboard has a good feel to it and is well layed out but on several laptops it seems to freeze MS Excel, requiring reboot. I put on shelf to collect dust until I colleague had shoulder problems and I dusted off and put on desktop. She loves it and uses it in conjunction with mouse-never heard a complaint about a freeze up...
Summary: The keyboard installed easily and worked without a hitch. We have been experiencing some lock ups where the computer wouldn't respond to keyboard or touch pad activity. Unplugging the keyboard and plugging it back in usually solves that. However, the hard drive was also going bad so the lock ups might have been due to that. The hard drive has been replaced, so we'll see if the lock-ups occur. Overall, the keyboard works well.
Summary: The best keyboard/touchpad combo I have ever used was on a Dell inspiron notebook. Up/down and side/side scrolling on the touchpad, excellent key feel and spacing, and otherwise excellent ergonomics. The only equivalent stand alone keyboard I can find does not have track pad scrolling. Why is there no decent keyboard trackpad combo out there?
Pros: The touchpad is responsive and the up/down scroll feature works well. Multimedia buttons are useful.
Cons: I bought this keyboard to help with my chronic carpel tunnel that is inflamed by using a mouse too often. The touchpad helps with the CT, but the keys are so difficult to press that it actually brought about the CT in both hands instead of just my write. I type a lot during the day and the keyboard is so exhausting to use that my typing is worthless by 5om. Also, the mouse buttons below the touchpad are noisy, sticky, and overall a terrible design.
Summary: I ordered the keyboard because of a shoulder problem I am having, reaching across my body from mouse, to letter board and back to number pad. The set up is great, decreasing that reach and I am getting relief from my shoulder pain. However, the keyboard and the cursor go crazy several times a day, I have to unplug the usb and plug it back in to gain control again. I would like to know if anyone knows what I'm doing wrong.
Summary: It's been working fine for a few weeks. Nice touch to the keyboard. Win 7 drivers aren't worth installing just use MS. Nice features with them, but caused the pointer to jump all over and be uncontrollable. Other than that it's great.
