Summary: This was a low cost tray compared to others I saw, but it does not feel cheap. Install is a snap and the cables in the back to not bunch. The keyboard itself in nice and sturdy and the touch pad worked from the start. All of the servers have accepted it into the pack and will soon migrate to their new home.
Summary: I purchased this keyboard and shelf for our main rack to connect to our KVM. The included keyboard fits well in the shelf. This shelf does not fit a standard keyboard with a number pad on the right, for reference. Slide actuation is smooth and mounting was easy.
Summary: This is a really good keyboard. I am using it in a rack mount drawer through a KVM switch. It works fine with both my Tripp-Lite KVM's as well as my IBM RCM kvm. I have two of these keyboards. I got my first one used from eBay and was pretty happy with it but one of the SHIFT keys had a broken spring and was uncomfortable to press. I contacted Adesso via email and explained my problem. They immediately offerd to mail (at their cost) a replacement key.
Summary: This is a very nice keyboard for someone who does not have a desk for their computer. I like it for the most part, touch pad works natively in both Windows XP and in Ubuntu 10.04 without having to install anything. Of course nothing is perfect, there are a few negatives. Once using Windows XP, for some odd reason, the back button stopped working, but then when I booted into Ubuntu, it worked fine, so I believe its a compatibility issue with XP.
Summary: The shipment of this item was quick and it arrived in good condition. However, what was ordered was a USB keyboard and what arrived was a PS2 keyboard! Due to time constraints, we were not able to ship it back and get the USB keyboard advertised. Fortunately, there were PS2 ports available on the unit for which we were using the keyboard. Other than that, the keyboard rack seems substantial and fits well into a standard 19" rack. The slides move smoothly.
Summary: Those of you looking for a quality keyboard, this is it. I've had mine 6-7 months now, it works perfectly. This is a PS/2 but I believe they make a USB addition. I needed something small yet efficient as I work on computers all day, and KVM's aren't what they are cracked up to be any more. A little pricey?, but you get what you pay for...
