Summary: After ten years of continuous daily service, my Micom 3.0 liter hot pot has finally died. There was only one maintenance I had to do, ordering a new rubber gasket seal about two years ago that had gotten stiff and crumbled, which I was able to find at reasonable price on the Zojirushi parts website. I think the cause of failure in 2015 was due to some internal leak. I'm buying the 5L commercial Zojirushi next.
Summary: As a Tea Fanatic this is a must have! It gets used every day and has held up extremely well after two years of daily use. If you have hard-er water then I recommend using a water filter before filling the Zojirushi. This eliminates most of the scaling and keeps the insides nice and clean for regular use.
Summary: Love it, use it daily. My husband makes his coffee with this. I make gravy with the hot water and instant potatos sometimes. Good for Instant oatmeal, etc. Very handy and sturdy and not too big a footprint.
Summary: If you drink as much tea as my ex girlfriend did you will either need to disable the alarm on your tea kettle or buy this thing. I recommend the latter. Water is always hot, easy to maintain, very neutral on the countertop.
Summary: This is the second Zojirushi water heater. My first one lasted for more than 10 years. It was still working fine, but I decided to get a new one and donated the first one to Goodwill. I am very happy with Zojirushi and making very good use of it.
Summary: We've had our pot over a year now and we love it. It stays on 24/7 except when we clean it and refill it. Cleaning is a snap. You can overpay for cleaning solution. I buy citric acid (found in the canning department) at Walmart for about 3 bucks and use 1oz per liter which works great. This is a great way to have "instant hot water" all day long.
Summary: This is the 3rd Zojirushi I purchased. I purchased one for myself 7years ago and it is still working nonstop. I have it on all the time. I like it so much that I got one for my older daughter 4 years ago. Now my younger daughter has her own family so i gave her one also. They all love it. It definitely deserve a 5-star rating.
Summary: Before this one. I had a Tiger Brand 3.3L and that one lasted more than 10 years. The quality of this pot is as good as my old one. The good: Made in Japan. The quality of this pot is excellent It is light compare to my old one Big display The Con: Water heat up a little slower than my old one The power plug (magnet) is not as easy to plug into the pot as my old one.
