Summary: This is the second Zojirushi water heater. My first one lasted for more than 10 years. It was still working fine, but I decided to get a new one and donated the first one to Goodwill. I am very happy with Zojirushi and making very good use of it.
Summary: We've had our pot over a year now and we love it. It stays on 24/7 except when we clean it and refill it. Cleaning is a snap. You can overpay for cleaning solution. I buy citric acid (found in the canning department) at Walmart for about 3 bucks and use 1oz per liter which works great. This is a great way to have "instant hot water" all day long.
Summary: This is the 3rd Zojirushi I purchased. I purchased one for myself 7years ago and it is still working nonstop. I have it on all the time. I like it so much that I got one for my older daughter 4 years ago. Now my younger daughter has her own family so i gave her one also. They all love it. It definitely deserve a 5-star rating.
Summary: Before this one. I had a Tiger Brand 3.3L and that one lasted more than 10 years. The quality of this pot is as good as my old one. The good: Made in Japan. The quality of this pot is excellent It is light compare to my old one Big display The Con: Water heat up a little slower than my old one The power plug (magnet) is not as easy to plug into the pot as my old one.
Summary: Boils quickly! No maintenance as long as I use purified water or water filtered by the Zero Water filter. I did need to clean the scale regularly when using tap water or water filtered by a Brita or 3M filter. But cleaning is easily with Zojirushi's cleaner packets.
Summary: The best advice that my daughter-in-law ever gave me was to get a Zojirushi. It seemed pretty silly to pay that kind of money to heat water, but I finally gave in. From the moment I first used it, I have had no regrets. I drink more water and more herbal tea now as, at 65, they are both good for me. But I can also make instant soups and oatmeal because it seems like I am always in a rush. When I was dieting, I used it for my Medifast soups.
