Summary: This has been a fantastic kettle! It's been a real workhorse. We use it 8-10 times per day and after almost 4 years we've never had any trouble with it. Sturdy and well-made. I wanted one that was steel rather than plastic inside, to avoid chemical leaching. The steel does make the body pretty hot, but the protective plastic under the handle is wide enough for safety when lifting.
Summary: I don't know why it took me so long to switch to an electric kettle but I am so glad I did. I have had this kettle for years now and I am so pleased with it. It heats up quickly and has water boiling in no time. The only down side is that, because it is metal, it does get hot to the touch. But I decided to deal with that factor because I am just not comfortable heating up food in plastic.
Summary: Looks good and works well, but the metal will burn. The kettle automatically shuts off but is silent, so not obvious when water has boiled. The kettle does not slide easily onto the base. A full kettle takes about 7 minutes to boil. Had a braun previously that we preferred.
If there were more stars available, I'd give them to this product

Summary: My sister and I use this product every day, several times a day. We have trouble at times getting the top to open, and have even sandpapered it to reduce the size a tab, but that's the only fault we can find. It is very quick to heat the water to boiling; reliably turns off when water boils; retains heat well; it's easy to read the fill-level indicator; and it's easy to clean, inside and out.
Summary: I order this product and when it arrive, I open it. It was a use one. Someone used it and return to this company and they didn't inspected and sell it back to me. I have to return it to them. Be careful of what you order.
Summary: I've had this kettle for almost three years, but it wasn't until recently that I started using it on a daily basis for tea. Prior to that, it probably got used a couple times a week at most. If I was writing this review a year or so ago, this would have probably been a four or five-star review. But immediate satisfaction is not important in a product...don't you want to know that your future purchase will stand the test of time?
Summary: After exactly two years of daily use my kettle has started leaking around the plastic water level window. I was very satisfied with this kettle up to now, but I guess I'll have to junk it and get one with a solid stainless steel tank. I was thinking that this was a product I could use for a long time, but trashing an appliance after two years is not in my plan for living on this small planet.
Summary: Yikes, the kettle quit working a week ago. The problems seems to be a short in the switch. I purchased it late in November 2010. This is the 3rd "American market" electric kettle in a row that has ceased functioning at about the 1 1/2-year mark. You can draw your own conclusions. it was snazzy, did a great job up until it quit. But should an appliance need replacing every 1 1/2 years?
