Dont buy this. May be the new version is better

George Holderness "George Holderness", Amazon
29 April 2015
  • Summary: I WAS REALLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS KETTLE. The lid is stiff and the steam scalds yr hand when filling. You are not supposed to fill through the spout but I did anyway. The paint is peeling off. It pours badly, not at all satisfactory. I should have sent it back but it seemed too much trouble.

Mrs W of Diss, Amazon
27 March 2015
  • Summary: I bought this but unfortunately I cannot rid the kettle of the metallic taste. I thought it would go, but now having read other reviews I know that it will not. I am returning the kettle. Unfortunately I had also ordered the matching toaster which I will need to return also.

Very stylish

Brenda Waterman, Amazon
9 March 2015
  • Summary: Very stylish and modern and I like the colour. It efficiently boils the water about the same as any other electric kettle that I have had, but is heavier than my previous jug kettle. It is also easy to fill either by removing the lid or via the spout.

  • Summary: A fine kettle based on our experience so far (admittedly we have only been using it for a few weeks to date). The only minor issue is the pour is a bit awkward in that you nearly need to hold the kettle upside down to completely empty it.

Nice modern vintage looking kettle that works well

star, Amazon
18 February 2015
  • Summary: Bought for parents for xmas. They love it, built well, nice colour, good buttons not fragile, boils quickly. Markings for water are in measurements instead of cups, easy to read. Can fill from spout or take lid off at centre. Lid is easy to pull off. Does not take up much work space.

Disappointing

JanePB, Walmart
6 December 2014
  • Excerpt: I bought my original KE9001SC on the 29 October 2013. It developed a leak from the base six months later (May 2014). I went through the warranty process and had to wait for a replacement kettle six weeks. The replacement kettle has also started leaking from the very same place (December 5, 2014).

Please dont waste your money

R. Priestley, Amazon
4 December 2014
  • Summary: Only 1 star because Amazon wouldn't accept no stars. Very very bad. I bought this kettle in Sept and the taste of the water has steadily become worse. Amazon tells me I can no longer return it as the time for returns was up the following month.

Great product

roy leary, Amazon
19 November 2014
  • Summary: I was very nervous about purchasing after reading some of the reviews. But I am pleased I did .it looks beautiful and as regards to performance I can't fault it. If it makes a bit of noise it is not that bad and it is only for a few minutes. I think it is a great product
