Summary: I didn't realize I hadn't written a review for the Proctor Silex K4070. If I had written one before, it would get 5 stars. Unfortunately, it quit working this weekend and was only 14 months old! Unfortunately, the warranty is only for 12 months. Ugh. When it worked, it was fantastic.
Summary: Bought this to replace 17 y/o proctor silex one. Great kettle for price. Easy to fill, pore, and use in general. Pay the extra and get the cordless. Would recommend to others. Also jug kettles take a very little space on your account
Summary: At the recommendation of a friend who loves to cook, I bought this kettle to replace the whistling kettle I had left on the stove. Of course the whistling kettle is no longer whistling after my one forgetful moment. This kettle is quick and my husband loves the automatic shut off.
Summary: I like the kettle. It's easy to fill because of the wide spout.I don't have to lift the cover every time I want to fill it. It boils the water quickly and the automatic shut-off feature is a godsend as I tend to multi-task and forget about the kettle.
Summary: I had a small plastic Cuisinart electric kettle for years until it unexpectedly quit:) I read reviews on lots of options, and this is the one I went with. It is bigger than my last one which I don't really need, but it boils the water quickly and pours well.
