Summary: At the recommendation of a friend who loves to cook, I bought this kettle to replace the whistling kettle I had left on the stove. Of course the whistling kettle is no longer whistling after my one forgetful moment. This kettle is quick and my husband loves the automatic shut off. He did not want another scare caused by the whistling kettle! The kettle boils 10 cups of water very efficiently and when I need hot water to put in the pot for pasta, I use the kettle.
Summary: I like the kettle. It's easy to fill because of the wide spout.I don't have to lift the cover every time I want to fill it. It boils the water quickly and the automatic shut-off feature is a godsend as I tend to multi-task and forget about the kettle. I would recommend this for any busy housewife with children!
Summary: I had a small plastic Cuisinart electric kettle for years until it unexpectedly quit:) I read reviews on lots of options, and this is the one I went with. It is bigger than my last one which I don't really need, but it boils the water quickly and pours well. You have to be sure to close the cover really well or it doesn't turn off automatically when the water is done.

Summary: Bought it for a friend for her birthday. She uses it in the office. I have given one to all of my special friends (and I have one on reserve in case mine breaks). I use it each morning for tea. Heats up water quickly. Now we're just like Great Britain and Australia where I first saw these in the 70's. Good on you, America.
Summary: it work as well or better than others I've had. they all have problems eventually(machines break). but the price was right and the shipping was fast. when this one goes I'm sure I'll get another one.
