Excerpt: I have spent a fortune on kettles the last few years, the best kettle I owned was a Philips bought for my first home and only replaced because my husband took it for work. So decided after wasting money on other brands to go back to Philips. So far so good, it is not as noisy as my last kettle and everything seems well built. It is a big kettle so can see how it may be heavy for anyone who has trouble with their hands, wrists etc.
Excerpt: Bought this kettle after my Morphy Richards one stopped working. When I got it out of the box this kettle was a lot bigger & chunkier than I was expecting & a lot bigger than my previous kettle, but I'm sure I'll get used to it. It boils really quickly & the one cup indicator is useful although for a large cup I do have to fill it slightly over the the one cup mark but that's not an issue now I know this.
Excerpt: Looks really nice. Would suit any kitchen. Personally I would only buy a kettle that has a flip up lid that you open with one hand. So much easier to fill. This one is quiet, boils quickly and is the nicest looking one I've seen. Not ridiculously expensive either. Would highly recommend.
Excerpt: Had this Kettle a couple of weeks now and very pleased with it. Boils faster than our old one , and a lot quieter to. Very nicely finished and even the base is finished in the same material , also the base has some weight to it which makes a change. Can fill up through the spout , handle is a bit chunky but I can forgive that as it is the best Kettle we have had. The one cup feature is superb and the gauge on both sides is very easy to read.
Excerpt: Well balanced, easy to fill. It claims to be green but all it does is encourage you to boil only as much as you need, using the measures on the side to help gauge the right quantity. This is the second one I've bought, the element failed on the first after a good few years regular use. Recommendation enough that I bought another.
Excerpt: Clear filling window with cup guide, easy flip-up lid, on button lights up blue, boils quickly and, best of all, it is surprisingly quiet. Only bad-ish points are that it seems heavier than other 1.7l kettles and it has a slightly larger footprint. Recommended to anyone seeking a metal kettle.
