Summary: I have 4 of these Kettles; kitchen, home office, work, lake house, . They are attractive and very efficient. Two of them now have a broken lid; repeated heating distorts a little plastic stub that secures the closed cover. Once this bends, the upper lid can flap open while pouring, spilling very hot water. It took 2.5 years for this to happen and the fact that two kettles has done this suggests a design flaw.
Really horrendous customer service. Product prone to breaking

Summary: Please save yourself the trouble, and buy from a different manufacturer. This kettle broke (and blew out a fuse in our kitchen), after 9-10 months of use. Still under warranty, it should have been replaced by the manufacturer. In what seems like a common move for this company, they offered to replace it with a much cheaper, plastic version- even though the warranty guarentees replacements will be equal or greater in value.
Summary: This was to replace my Braun kettle that went kaput. I find it even better than the Braun because it is a little lighter weight, has a nice "mouth opening" which makes it easy to fill, has a clear fill indicator which is easy to read, it turns smoothly on its base which is important to the lefties/righties in the family, and its design looks nice on my black granite counter.
Summary: So far, I really love this kettle! The keep-warm feature is the main reason I bought it, and it's fantastic. I had to return the first one I bought as the on/off switch was malfunctioning. The opening to refill the water could be bigger, but that's a minor issue for me. This kettle looks sleek and I hope it lasts me a very long time.
Summary: This replaces a plastic hot pot that we had for 7 years. We prefer this after about 9 months of usage. No hint of artificial taste. Heats rapidly enough for us. Just had to learn that it was metal and the outside was too hot to handle. We don't need variable temperature as we can wait a few minutes if we need slightly cooler water. At price, can't be beat.
Summary: We drink a fair amount of tea and instant coffee in our house. This is the first electric pot of its type we have owned. Once we started using it we never went back to a regular stove top kettle. It boils water fast. I mean really fast, and you can use the warming button to keep it hot. I think its as good as a product can get. Nice appearanceas well. It stays plugged in on my counter ready to use at the push of the button.
Summary: I bought this when my heavy Ceramic one cracked. The shape is so Stylish and it works great, even has a warmer feature to keep the boiled water hot! I LOVE this. Note, has a very short cord of about 1 foot, so buy a good quality extension cord and plug it into a safety power strip if it doesn't fit directly into the wall.
Summary: I was torn between getting the cheap plastic model and the expensive one with programability options or LED lights etc. This thing does the trick just perfectly. It's a good size to get a bunch of hot water if you need it, but don't have to. It heats fast enough, I would say half the kettle in about 3 minutes. No bad smells or tastes. It looks good and fits on and off the base real well. The lid works good, but could be a little better.
