Summary: I purchased this kettle in 2009 before I went off to college, and it has faithfully served me every single day since then. 5 years later, it is still my favorite appliance by far, and one of the few things that has followed me through every house I've lived in.
Summary: Krups is a good Kettle, but it does not last for more than 2 years, and in one of them, I detected rust in the bottom of it, around the seal. So if you want a kettle for only 2 years, this is your choice.
Three -- make that SEVEN -- Years of Use, Still Works Great

Summary: I was motivated to write this review when I was looking to buy a second of these as a gift and I came across the "most helpful negative review." The main thrust of that review is that this kettle has design defects that will make it break down over time. I bought this kettle three years ago.
Summary: This is a 1750 watt kettle where almost all others are 1500 watt. It heats water for my French press FAST. I've had other kettles over the years, but this Krups beats them all. Handle and lid stay cool. Swivel base is a nice touch.
Summary: My wife and I bought our first electric kettle (this one) shortly after discovering such a thing existed (OK, we're slow learners) during a trip overseas. We have used this kettle at least twice daily since then, and it is still going strong.
Summary: The tea pot was great. That is while it lasted. I bought the Krups stainless steel pot because I wanted a good quality product that would last for years. It lasted one year, that is all. The switch in the pot is bad.
Summary: Very good quality product. The only problem I have with this product is that because it is made of metal it becomes very hot if you touch it after the water boiled. Other tea kettles from Krups that are made of plastic do not get hot much. Other than this the quality is excellent.
Summary: I am very satisfied with the performance of this kettle. It is very attractive and well made and performs flawlessly. Exterior does get hot when heating water as there is no insulation of the kettle body.
