Summary: This kettle was purchased in November of 2013 to replace a previous model of the same kettle that had been purchased in 1997 as I went to college. I chose to spend nearly $60.00 on an electric kettle based upon both the previous longevity of my Krups kettle in conjunction with the equally robust...
Famous brand but exceedingly poor quality. Leaks profusely after little use. Based on buying two units.

Summary: Bought 2 of these. For the price, you would think that you would get 4-5 years out of one. Not so. They start leaking almost immediately. Krups is a famous German brand but they do not stand behind their poorly designed product if it is one day past their warranty. Do NOT buy this product.
Summary: This replaced one I bought years ago that was originally a "french press" that I used simply to boil water. I'm an avid tea drinker and this is the way to go. It would be nicer if this had a timer and a keep warm feature so I could set it and wake up to hot water already boiled.
Summary: A very good electric tea kettle. I have had one of these for about six years. The top lid went bad on me after about 5 years and I purchased another lid and it is still working. I purchased this one as a backup about a year ago, but have not needed to use it yet.
Summary: Fine when it works but poor quality. After awhile it leaks or the on-off switch breaks.. I tried 2 plus 1 the company replaced under the warranty; all leaked and on 1 the on-off switch broke.. A simpler GE works well, is easier to use, and has been reliable.
Summary: Wow, I thought the other people who said that this kettle ends up leaking from the handle were being a bit harsh, but nope, mine is leaking now too. After about two months. Hard to believe they still sell this. It really should be recalled.
Summary: This was a gift for my brother. I've had one of these for years. I can't tell you how many times I've walked away from the gas stove, interrupted by something, only to return to a smoking kettle devoid of all water. Getting a little dangerous.
