Excerpt: Good looking, fast heating. Unfortunately, after 6 months of use the steam and interior still smell like plastic and the on-switch is very glitchy, sometimes I have to hold it down for a while before it will stay down. Have loved heating water for french press coffee, tea, and even to give water a head start before pouring it into a pot for cooking on the stove.
Summary: This is an excellent and fast boiler that has some minor issues. We are on to our 3rd boiler in less than 5 years. The first one had to be replaced due to a faulty on-off switch. This was replaced by the store we bought it in. When that one started leaking after a few years we decided to try for another one on amazon. After a couple of years, that one too is now leaking. As great as this boiler is (and it's been pretty good), we've gone on to a different model.
Excerpt: I have this kettle. Purchased it a few years ago. The first one I had quit working very soon. I returned it to Krups and they replaced it without question as it was faulty. The one I have now is great, no problems. For those of you who have problems with leaking I would recommend sending it back to Krups for a replacement.
Summary: Bought my first Krups electric kettle 11 years ago and it was used daily. Recently, while cleaning it, I dropped the top and it cracked. The kettle still worked until the new one arrived. It's perfect for my needs. Over the years, I have given several of them as gifts. They are always much appreciated. I would not hesitate to recommend the Krups electric kettle. I could not have hoped for better quality and durability. It's definitely the best!
Avoid this kettle! You'll be replacing it very soon if you buy it

Summary: So when you spend around $60 for a kettle you expect you'll have it for at least a few years, right? I WISH I would have read reviews before purchasing. Sure enough, my kettle leaks ALL over the place. Called KRUPS customer service and since I have no receipt am out of the warranty. They said they are sending me a mail in rebate if I want to buy another product (and it would just be a slight discount). UM..no thank you. What's the point?!
