Summary: I came across this electric kettle when I was browsing at a shop the other day and fell in love right away. What made the Krups BW600 catch my eye was the shiny chrome finish. To make the kettle even more flashy and elegant Krups have fitted this kettle with wood panels on both the handle and base. To be honest these panles are not real wood, but plastic with a wooden look. After I had taken a thorough peek at this kettle, I bought it.
Summary: I have only used it for two weeks now but so far so good. As mentioned in previous reviews it is quiet, efficient as well as good looking and easy to clean. Time will test the durability and I am hoping it will last for at least a few years since it was a bit pricey.
Summary: I don't think any kettle heats up faster than another. They are all the same. The exterior can feel hot. Be careful to grasp only by the handle. This has the looks, a nice blue light in the switch, a hidden element and a lid the doesn't need to be removed as it's hinged and opened with a button. As with all kettles, there's staining on the interior base from water. Every couple months a bit of vinegar in the bottom for an hour will make it look like new.
