Summary: I bought this kettle to replace a cheap kettle which dripped very badly when pouring, this DeLonghi doesn,t drip at all, its great, very stylish and solidly made. Only criticism is the water level indicator which is hidden behind the handle and is slow to show level.
Summary: Had this kettle for a while now and it does not get any quieter! Classic Design - Looks great! Sounds like a jet plane landing when boiling though. The 'silver' (metal) strip round the knob on the lid, started to peel after several months and I actually cut my finger on it. Beautiful looking piece - boils water but will be sticking with a cheaper, quieter kettle in future. Also bought the matching 4 slice toaster and that is brilliant.
Summary: This kettle was a great price on TESCO & I am glad of that. If I had paid the full amount I would be more disappointed. It looks lovely & pours well but whilst a tight fitting lid is important this is so tight you actually have to tug to get it off & spray the work surface with water every time. Not great if you are refilling when its recently boiled as its then hot water everywhere.
Summary: Bought this as it exactly matches my kitchen cupboards, I love the design and the colour is exactly as shown. The base is quite large in my small kitchen but the quality of the product out weighs this inconvenience
Summary: Truly a work of design art to behold and looks fantastic in any kitchen. The other reviewer's appear to have had their Icona kettles for just a few months. I suspect their's will also fail a short while after the warranty runs out, mine lasted 15 months having been used on average 5 times a day so beware as there are other attractrive brands which will probably last longer. I kept my old Kenwood kettle as a spare and its almost 10 years old and still going strong.
