Summary: I have had this kettle for 3 years, today it has broken. I have had much cheaper kettles that have lasted much longer. Also the red paint around the spout and water level started to peel off after 6 months, every time I wiped it over a bit more come off. This is a lot of money to pay for a kettle that only lasts 3 years and had peeling paint. I will not replace it with another de'longhi kettle.
Summary: I got one from a different source and my daughter clocked it and said, OOH I would'nt mind one of those Dad it would just fit in my kitchen lovely, I get told it's the best thing since sliced bread.
Summary: I like this product it's stylish and funky at the same time, it looks good and it doesn't take too long to boil. The reason I only gave it four stars is, it is very noisy when it starts to boil (sounds like a steam train) and the on switch is too easy to turn on by mistake, even a tea towel dropping on it will start it off although it will detect when there is no water in it and cut out but I feel it should be a little bit harder to turn on.
Summary: Only gave it 4 stars because of the time lag on the water gauge seeing how much water is in the kettle.Manufacturers should take note and have the water gauge on the front and not under the handle. No noisier than any other kettle I have had. Excellent pourer. Read comments about lid being really tight but do not think it is excessively so. Will see whether others comments about flimsy knob are justified but it seems OK.
