Summary: The built-in temp gauge seemed like a good idea but it broke after the first week of use. Don't pay the Cuisinart premium - when the gauge breaks all you have is an overpriced, cheaply built kettle.
Summary: I love this thing. I can't say it enough. Why give it 3 stars? One word.... Durability. after the first couple months I noticed that the bottom seemed to be chipping . it is only used to boil water and stays on the stove so it couldn't have been from rough use or storage the enamel just started to chip off. then after about 7 month the thermometer stopped working. That part really killed me because its the only real reason to have this ridiculous thing.
Summary: This is a good looking tea pot with lots of style. The temp gauge is nice. Quality is high. Only nit pick is when you flip open the top to pour our hot water you get a tiny splash of hot water on your hand from the steam.
Summary: I've never had a teapot before but I knew in order to get some fantastic tea, in particular green tea, I needed something that would allow me to know when to pull the kettle off the stove before the water began to boil. I noticed that the temperature reader was a little off between 5-10 degrees mostly because the reader did not have a smooth transition when the temperature raised however the temperature has a nice ballpark number.
Summary: My wife fell in love with this kettle as she pulled it out of the box. It's very helpful to know the temperature at which you were brewing your yea so you do not ruin it. I highly recommend this for anyone who drinks a lot of hot tea.
Summary: Awesome. This kettle is great! It's pretty. The thermometer is so convenient and it's pretty accurate! I use it to get the correct temperature for french-pressing coffee, but my wife uses it for tea. Water at a roaring boil isn't ideal for either of these situations and it's hard to judge without a thermometer. This makes it possible! It is well made. I use it just about every day and it still looks great, and all the pieces are holding together well.
Summary: I have had this teakettle for about a month, and I absolutely love it. It is sturdy, the color is nice, shiny and doesn't appear to be wearing away, and the guide for the water hotness is nice, I suppose (although I personally don't really care about that feature). But I really love it for these reasons: 1. The handle doesn't get hot/burn my hand. Plus, it's nice and cushy feeling. 2. It's a nice strong whistle that I can hear throughout my big apartment. 3.
