Summary: We searched a long time for the perfect kettle and ended up buying the same one we already had before. The whistle tends to pop out but once we put it back we've had no issues. All other kettles don't compare - handle doesn't get hot, has a whistle, temperature gage, looks great.
Summary: Great teapot. Works exactly as described. I like that I can see the temperature and stop heating the water before it's to the point it will burn my mouth. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is b/c, according to the directions, you can't let water sit in the kettle when you aren't using it.
Summary: This is one of the ONLY tea kettles with a thermometer that I could find that isn't electric. While it IS a bit pricey compared to regular tea kettles, it is amazing for brewing tea AND french press coffee. We absolutely love it and I wouldn't trade it for anything.;
Great kettle for perfect temperature water for a french-press.

Summary: This is a great kettle. Sturdy, works on induction, and the temperature gauge has prevented me from burning my coffee with water that's too hot. I definitely notice a difference in how my french-press coffee tastes with water at the proper temperature.
Summary: This kettle works great for me. I love the temperature gauge on it. I brew all kinds of teas so it is nice to be able to see exactly when I need to turn the kettle off, especially if I'm drinking green tea that brews at a lower temp.
Summary: The built-in temp gauge seemed like a good idea but it broke after the first week of use. Don't pay the Cuisinart premium - when the gauge breaks all you have is an overpriced, cheaply built kettle.
