Excerpt: This boils water very fast. I like black tea a couple times a day. It takes just a few minutes, and you're good to go. The pour spout is a little dribbly but not a big deal. Only had it a short while, just hope it will last. So far so good.
Summary: What I don't like is that the screws on the inside of the lid began to rust about 2 months in. Although Cuisinart will replace it under their warranty, I have to pay for shipping both ways (you can send it any way you want, but have to send them $15 for return postage).
Summary: It does what I want, which is accurately and easily heat water to different temperatures for different kinds of tea. The shut off, if you don't want to keep water at temperature, takes some getting used to, but, overall, I'm pleased with the electric kettle.
Summary: I have had this kettle for barely 2 weeks and the stainless steel on the bottom of the interior is discoloring and is degrading. I have only used Brita filtered water, so it should not be the water quality. Unfortunately I will return this kettle.
Summary: So...I switched back to my French Press. The coffee is delicious. I was heating water in a pot on the stove and decided I loved the flavor of the French Press so much I would invest in an electric water kettle.
