Very cool concept with poor execution

D. S., Amazon
27 December 2015
  • Summary: There is a major cool factor to having a device that will automatically make tea, and there are a lot of features I like about this thing, but there are a lot of shortcomings, too. The good stuff: No more oversteeping your tea if you get busy or forget about it!

Stevie, Amazon
7 September 2015
  • Summary: TL:DR - I like it, but a Japanese person did not approve of it because lets all the flavor out in 1 steep by unravelling the leaf too quickly. I purchased this product in January of 2013 at Teavana in the Chrstiana Mall in Delaware after returning from Japan with hundreds of grams of various grades...

A Neccessity for Few, A Convenience For Some, A Slightly Flawed As Well As Needless Case Of Overkill For Most.

Just a guy from France in the corner, Amazon
18 February 2015
  • Summary: Yes, this looks nice on a kitchen counter, but at $260, it ought to, yes? Still, the question is: do you want this for your tea? As the owner of a tea company, I would say, "that depends." If you need it for the time saving and convenience, then it's fine.

it's pretty, will look nice in the trashcan I suppose

Shawn B, Amazon
5 January 2015
  • Summary: Broken. Order this in August 2013, used sporadically, the basket just goes up and down now, says reset on the screen after awhile. Ultimately spent far more on this thing, than the tea that went in it. German engineering? Is that supposed to be a warning now.

nycgirl, Amazon
30 December 2014
  • Summary: Received this for Christmas only to find a warning on the inner flap: "this product contains chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer." [Prop 65] . CA is one of the most progressive states when it comes to mandatory labeling on consumer products, always to inform the customer's...
