Summary: I love this kettle. I even got one for my son. It makes boiled water in moments and is sleek looking on the counter. I am a tea drinker so it is great for me. I use a Keurig for coffee and a French Press, but for tea this is perfect.
Summary: I purchased this kettle about 14 months ago. During the first 30 days, the button that opens the lid jammed and the lid could not be closed. I returned it and Amazon sent me a new one. The same things happened a few months later, too late to return it, and I learned that if I struck the button just right with the handle of something else I could get it to pop open. Inelegant, but it worked.
Summary: This has got to be the worst excuse for a kettle I have ever encountered, Breville should be ashamed to put their name to it. The specifications indicated the on offv swith should light. When it did not I returned it as I felt water and a possible electrical fault were not a good combination. Amazon promptly sent me another but the light didn't switch on that one either. Contacted Breville and was told it was a mistake in the brochure.
Summary: Ok I recieved this one from Amazon as a used-very good condition, as per Amazon this is exactly the same as open box, something someone opened, used maybe 1-2 times and did not like it. It was $31.50 with 5 day shipping included. Mine is new, no marks, scratches, etc... I cleaned it well and it works perfectly, now the people that returned it due to it not lighting up or a red light not going on when its on simply were not reading reviews.
Summary: It is a nice looking kettle, but the illuminated on/off switch didn't work so I sent it back and exchanged it for a new one. The light on the on/off switch still did not work, I think this is an important feature to have, so I returned it and got a refund. I will not be trying a 3rd kettle. I would give the Amazon customer service/returns 6 stars if I could!
