Excerpt: If you are looking to buy water cooker or water kettle, you probably should read my review first about BRAUN WK200B water cooker or water kettle. Why? Because this product could be the cheapest product that have good quality for you.
Summary: This was my first electric kettle. What a great kitchen must! I loved this product. It died 53 weeks after purchase with moderate use. After reading other reviews, I realize that customer service is practically non-existant in the U.S. because all the customer service folks are overseas and could really care less about us. Sadly in the trash it goes. No more Braun products.
Summary: Ok this is an odd time to write a review - this kettle just died! BUT it lasted for 8 years being used 4-5 times a day (making coffee and tea and boiling water for any cooking I was doing) survived being dropped twice and slogged on reliably. I LOVED this little kettle.
Anyway, looking for a replacement online it seems that the newer version costs a jaw dropping $160 - I bought mine originally for $60.
Summary: I've had 2 of these kettles in the past year and both have died. We probably use it 10 times a day. I bought it based on the great reviews but it's not that great when you go through 2 per year.
It cost me $40 so I'm surprized that it is so expensive now.
Summary: I'm very surprised to see this kettle is still available because when I called Braun to report that mine had broken (part of the handle broke apart somehow, exposing the switch that turned on the element -- eventually my son ripped that off & lost it and the kettle won't work at all), they claimed that they were no longer selling it so couldn't send me a replacement for the one that had broken and since I didn't have the receipt, they couldn't send me a check for the...
Summary: I bought one of those 3 years ago for 99$ (made in Germany) and I was very happy.I needED another one for my boat-now the same product but made in Czech Republic-charge of 150$ is JUST RIDICULOUS.
Summary: I love this product so much, I am actually using the 2nd one. The reason why I had to buy the 2nd one is because the detachable filter got ripped, and the replacement cost was too much, and I used it for over 3 years.
I expected the filter of my 2nd one to last as long as the last one (3+ years). But it got ripped within the first 6 months. I'm very disappointed. I'm still using the product, but I see white calcium flakes in my tea.
