Summary: I don't ever write reviews but felt I had to in this case. I went through 4 of these tea makers and every one was either DOA or had a broken feature. 1st DOA 2nd Broken on-off switch 3rd Brewing timer only working for max 2 minutes instead of 7 4th Same as 3rd I have to mention that Amazon was great and kept next day shipping new ones to me at no charge but they really shouldn't carry a product that is this shabbily made, it's very frustrating.
Summary: I had the same problem that others did in the pictures. The inside in the boiling chamber began to peel paint and chip away into the water. I sent it back and got another hoping it was just an unlucky one and the second one did the same thing. Probably would stay away, I think they changed manufacturers since the old reviews when people liked this product.
Summary: This is a shoddily constructed product with a poor warranty. Mine had pieces fall off exactly 31 days after purchase just 1 day out of warranty and the company refused to replace the item. Purchase this item at your own risk!!!
Summary: I purchased this machine mid 2009 based on some good reviews and the price ($99). There were a couple reviews at the time that complained about the quality of construction, but I ignored those. Our machine brewed tea adequately and it was really convenient to load and set it for the tea my wife enjoys. We liked it. However, after going through 2 brew chambers and 3 carafes in the 2.5 years we've owned it ...
triniTEA broke...Adagio needs a Warranty Department
19 January 2012
Summary: I received my triniTEA as a Christmas gift. I successfully made 5 pots of tea...then it stopped working. Nothing would work...no power indicator lights...nothing. I found my warranty card (90-day warranty), which had no phone number or address...only an email address. I traded emails a few times. They suggested that I return the tea maker. It was past my 30-day return window with the seller and the seller would only accept unused merchanise for return.
Summary: Bought this as a present for my wife who is a prodigious tea drinker. She loved it until it quit working after only 3 months. Manufacturer was totally unresponsive. Now I am out $100 and my wife is back to brewing tea in her $20 Mr Coffee that is 3 years old.
Summary: The hot tea was really good when it worked; unfortunately the tea maker only lasted 3 months! My wife & I drink 3 cups of hot tea each morning which means we brew 2 makings daily & occasionally we have a cup of decaf at night. We got this maker in July & now when you turn it on, it starts heating up then turns off in a few seconds!
Summary: It could have been a love affair, but turned out to be a horror show. I must say, up front, that I have had a lot of good experiences with Adagio prior to this product. I bought a lot of tea from them, and it was all good stuff. I've bought a number of other tea gadgets from them, too; like infusers and specialty cups. This tea maker incident has made it so that I will never, under any circumstances buy anything from them again.
Summary: I love this tea maker & use it every day. There is no "stop water here" line so you can't fill it up completely or it will seep out onto your countertop. There are no instructions which label parts showing where they are to go & how. You have to figure that part out. Once you figure it out & never fill completely to the top: you will most likely enjoy this tea maker as much as I do. I would have given it 5 stars except for the above mentioned gliches.
