Excerpt: I researched for hours looking for the right Masticating Style Juicer and was directed to the Omega J8004. So far, its been easy in every way. I hope the longevity of this machine proves its value. I came to Zappos for this purchase because it was the least expensive and free shipping. It was delivered faster than I could have dreamed as well! Thanks Zappos!
Excerpt: We have been using this juicer for just over 2 weeks now it is amazing I didn't know you could get so much juice out of so many things. There is very little waste and its so fresh and delicious. Thank you!
Excerpt: If you are serious about juicing, this is the juicer to buy. The juices come out much better than from a centrifugal juicer. Cons: A little more expensive on the front side. You do have to cut the pieces a little bit smaller than you would with a centrifugal juicer. Pros: the nutrients last longer in the juice, you get more juice out of it, so it saves you on the back end. I love this juicer. I use it every day.
Summary: I've only used it couple times so far and did discover that it does not like carrots. So I solved that problem by chopping all my carrots first in my food processor. It did bind up a couple of times when a few chunks of carrot slipped by me and no amount of pushing with the chute stick would free them up. Rather than taking the machine apart, I turned off the motor and grabbed a long handled tea spoon and was able to scoop out the offending pieces and all was well again.
Summary: It is sooo worth going with a masticating juicer. I am so glad I found this. My only complaint is having to cut pieces fairly small to fit the opening but you get over it quickly. After a few times of juicing you get into the routine of putting it together, cleaning, and reassembling.
Summary: My new best friend! I love this juicer!!!!! Making gorgeous green juices and couldn't be happier! My friend bought the Omega 8007 and honestly there wasn't much difference except for price. I'm very happy with this purchase!
Good quality, one of best decisions made for health

Summary: This is a good quality juicer that can last long. Warranty spells it out and experience confirms it. Still need to use fine mesh if you need juice without the pulp. Simple solution is to use a nut bag or other strainer. I didn't waste my time on cheaper models or brands. I knew I needed a masticating juicer and the reconditioned one I bought seems new to me.
Summary: Did a bunch of research on different juicers and decided I would like one with low pulp that could juice anything, that was sturdy and reliable and would last a long time. This does all of that, albeit really soft things (like tofu or seeds) mostly go through without much ending up in the juice. I put them through a second time to get more. And yes, feeding the stuff through a fairly small tube is slow, but it's okay, I can deal with it.
