Upgraded from a centrifugal juicer, and I'm in love...
Summary: We started juicing about a year ago. My husband had researched juicers, and although we knew masticating juicers were supposed to be better, we weren't ready to jump into that price point. If I knew then what I know now, I would have gone straight to a machine like this one. It's much quieter, and faster/easier to clean.
Summary: The reviews on this juicer are accurate. I had another brand that lasted for about 8 months before parts started falling off; it was a vertical unit without an auger, < $70. The unit is heavy duty and cleanup is much easier than my previous buy. My only complaint is the width of the feed shoot but this was addressed in the newer model which about $60-70 more. Otherwise, I would recommend this model for a heavy juicer who doesn't mind a bit more prep work.
Summary: I'd read that a masticating juicer was so much better than a centrifugal one, so we decided to save up to get this one. It is a great juicer. The only issue is that on the switch, it is marked I for forward and II for reverse. If you don't read the instructions carefully, you'd think those were speeds. You have to be careful not to reverse to far, or juice will stick in the gears and it becomes nearly impossible to remove the assembly for cleaning. Otherwise, we love it!
Summary: We did a lot of research to find the perfect juicer. You get what you pay for. We bought a cheap $50 one and it was garbage. It took forever to make a glass of juice on the cheap one. We love this juicer and so do my kids.
high quality parts and operation, easy cleaning, AMAZING juice!

Summary: The title says it all. This juicer is a high quality, slow masticating juicer. If you want fast, get a centrifugal juicer, but the juice doesn't keep as long and is thinner. Despite some very finely machined metal filters, this juicer is actually fairly easy to clean. Our rule of thumb is to take it apart and just rinse it down (at least) right after juicing. The juice is really good.
Summary: This is a fantastic juicer. I won't go into all the details about slow vs high speed juicers (you can search the Internet to read all about it), but a slow juicer gives you a much higher quality juice. If you are looking for a slow juicer, then I would highly recommend this one (or the previous generation 8006). Pros: - Fast cleanup.
Summary: This is my first juicer, so I don't have anything to compare it with. For those who complain about having to cut up the fruits & veggies to a small size: What's the big deal? You get what you pay for. This machine is awesome for it's price. If you have $2000 to spend on a commercial grade machine, then by all means do it. Otherwise, you can't get a better quality machine for the price! And it's NOT hard to clean. No harder than cleaning your blender!
