Summary: Paid online and had it ship to store. Picked it up on Saturday 9-28-13 and used it Monday morning 9-30-13. The plan was to juice a forth of lime, a forth of lemon, a carrot and a apple. The juicer would not juice any of it and starting smoking in the first use. I returned it the same day.
Summary: I had a bigger, heavy duty juicer before that I gave away because it was so bulky, took up so much counter space, and was hard to use. This little juicer is so much easier. It's more compact and easier to clean. The outside is plastic so I'm not sure how durable it would be for someone who does a huge amount of juicing, and you must be careful that each part is correctly locked in place or it won't work right.
Summary: This juicer stops giving juice after 1/4 of a cup because the filter (calendar) is not effective and gets plugged very quickly requiring cleaning right in the middle of juicing. The large pulp catcher is useless because it never gets filled up, in extracting even one glass of juice since one has to stop and repeat the operation several times. Over all it is an ineffective juicer because the pulp is never dry.
Summary: This juicer is not quite the juicer they seem to make it, it is perfect for the starting juicer. However it does not extract from peel which most juicers do. So my advice is to peel your fruits and veggies. The containment area for the pulp is small which means if you are juicing a lot of veggies/fruits then you need to stop halfway through and empty it.
Summary: I sent this to my sister as a birthday gift. The very FIRST time she used it she smelled burning. THE FIRST TIME, THE FIRST TIME. I paid attention to the warnings and got a 2 yr replacement plan, you know just in case. As it turns out I paid the extra money for nothing the clump of junk burnt out the very first use. YES, THE FIRST TIME.
Summary: This juicer left too many large chunks in the discard bin, and too much pulp in the juice, for me to rate it higher. I would say this is a good juicer for someone that just occasionally wants to dabble in juicing--it's super easy to set up and use and it looks great, and it doesn't cost too much money. But if you want to juice regularly, I don't think this is the juicer for you.
