Not hi-fi, but neat.

Stephen Quinn "Unclezeebie", Amazon
17 April 2013
  • Summary: You really can't expect good sound from tiny speakers placed close together, but if you just need an indicator that your casette player is working this is typically elegant SONY design, and satisfying from that standpoint.

Richard Martinez, Amazon
6 January 2013
  • Summary: This speaker delivers good sound when you want to listen to music without wearing your head phones. The two AAA batteries last for many hours. I use two sets of rechargable batteries.

  • Summary: (1) I initially got this for my phone. I have Slacker Radio on my phone so when I'm hangng with friends we can all enjoy the tunes, whether I'm at the laundrymat or playing bocce ball on a park lawn, I have streaming music, mp3 or FM radio. It's nice on the phone, but... (2) but then I plugged it into my sony mp3 player and my droid (nexus 7) tablet and man it exploded with great sound!

It doesn't last long

Mark "MJM", Amazon
20 November 2011
  • Summary: Yes it's compact and the volume is good. But the one I got doesn't last long. On the one day I used it, it lasted 5 hours. I couldn't hear it when it used power from the attached walkman. I had 5 work hours afterward. It's ok to buy new batteries each day ($10 per week), but the speaker didn't even last a full day. In my car, I have to hang it around my neck to hear the speaker when its power switches off, but can't do this the one day per week.

Realistic expectations = good little speaker

M. S. Kubota, Amazon
28 September 2010
  • Summary: Why do people buy this and expect bookshelf speaker sound? Why do you think they sell larger speakers to begin with? Anyway, this is a nice little speaker system for what it is. I use it for listening to Podcasts. The sound on my iPad often isn't loud enough to hear over doing the dishes, etc. and sometimes I want to listen to my Nano without earphones. This fits the bill perfectly.

MyBeesWax "A Music Fan", Amazon
27 September 2010
  • Summary: The Psyc Compact Portable Speaker will work with all phones, players, and other devices with a regular 3.5 mm phone jack. - Small, Lightweight, and Portable The Psyc is about the size of your palm. Its light weight and small size makes it ultra portable. Any speaker wire slack can be tucked into a groove that runs around the back of the device.
