Summary: This dock has great sound, and the price was right. However, the packaging and a quick scan of the description make it look like it's Bluetooth compatible, and it isn't. You will need to purchase a separate adapter for around $100.00 in order to have Bluetooth with it. Also, the adapters are either very hard to find or have been discontinued. I finally found one, but this ended up being a high priced sound dock to have it the way we wanted it.
Summary: It is very powerful - sits in a corner and fills three large rooms without a problem. Great sound quality - I tested classical, vocal, rock, instrumental... All very good. One little complaint, some of the old broadway songs seem to come up with very strong vocals. They are clear and all, but I wish I could turn up the background music better. It looks great. It works with both Iphone 3 and Iphone 4.
Summary: Let me start by saying, this produces excellent sound. Let there be no mistake that you will enjoy listening to music with this dock. The remote is simple, but handy (although I still don't understand the point of the "holder"). It looks nice and does what it is meant to do well. My only problem was the Bluetooth adapter. I never could get my iPod Touch to find it, no matter what I tried.
Summary: I have been using this unit for about a month now. I have it in my lower family room (finished basement) in an open area about 1000 square feet. I already have a 7.1 surround system hooked up with a 1080p video projector, so I use this device for parties when I just want music. I have not hooked it up to a video source, which it can do with composite video outputs. Design: The design is your basic black, with professional looking glossy black finish.
Summary: The sound quality of this system is just above average. For another $60.00 to $100.00 you could have a "much" better system by Sony.(rdpix700) The Pioneer system advertises separate bass and treble but this is not the case.If you have a keen sense of hearing or if you are an audiophile,THIS IS NOT THE SYSTEM FOR YOU. If this system sold for $100.00 with free shipping then it would be a very nice option for a gift or for a student entering College.
Summary: I was the happy owner of the original Bose sounddock for seven years until it stopped working this November. I thought that was a very good run. To replace the Bose I chose the Pioneer NAS3 and waited a month for the price to drop to $220. I like the clean design as I wasn't looking for a display nor was I looking for an alarm clock.
Summary: Pioneer Electronics Audition Series XW_NAS3-K Docking Station for iPod has rich sound, looks good and the only negative comment I have is the remote. As reviewed by others, the remote has too narrow of an area in which it will work which is a shame as the product would otherwise easily get five stars.
Summary: I thought I had an ok sound system with my old iPod/iPhone dock, but once I heard this gorgeous machine play music, I had to toss the other one immediately. The sound was crisp and detailed, handling bass beautifully. I listen to a wide range of genres, and they all sounded marvelous--from classical and orchestral to hip-hop, world, and acoustic.
