Summary: Awesome sound! Really surprising how much clear, balanced sound comes out of this box. Works nicely with iPod, iPhone and iPad. The new iPhone and iPad with lightening connection means you need an adapter, but works great with the adapter.
Summary: Granted, it's more money than I thought I spend on a sound system, but the Fidelio DS9000 is worth every dollar. Impeccable mid range-hearing instrumental sounds in songs I never knew existed, as well as the bass tones that don't distort, even as the sound level is amped up! It's played almost every day, and by the design, construction, and weight of it, lends to the fact that it is quality in fit and finish throughout, with Philips dependability and durability built in...
Summary: Phillips Fidelio DS9000 speaker dock is the most amazing speaker product i have ever owned. Its sound fidelity is nothing that i have ever heard before save for time in a studio within the confines of high end head phones. Listening to music or to spoken word on this system envelopes you in an auditory blanket that imparts to you, the listener, sounds, nuances,,,,even instruments and vocals contained within arrangements that you have never heard before on other systems.
Philips Fidelio DS9000 Primo Speaker Dock for iPod/iPhone/iPad
21 September 2012
Summary: I was looking for a speaker for the iPad and iPhone that would boost the sound volume and quality. Very glad I found this one. It is amazing and worth every penny. Also like the fact that it charges the device at the same time. Thanks Philips!
Summary: I was surprised by the sound team. I use it with an iPod Touch and an iPad. It's phenomenal. The clear sound, the bass level is high (can correct settings from each computer or using the application of Philips). The remote control is used but not great, mostly to raise and lower the volume or to fast forward or pause a song. There used to navigate through menus. The sound is great. Fills a living area easily.
Summary: I simply love it! The sound is beautiful (highs, mids, lows) and it looks beautiful in my living room. I have it on a dark wood marble coffee table with a candle on each side and it fits in so perfectly. One thing you should be aware of is that this is a music dock, and is NOT meant to be a charging station. Leaving it plugged in for long periods of time will damage your unit. If unplugging it becomes tedious you can always buy a cheap switch for it.
Fidelio Primo vs Arcam rCube vs Zeppelin Air vs Go Play 2

Summary: Want an iPhone dock? Confused? So was I, until I gathered enough intelligence on the subject to open a library. Eventually, I overcame severe purchase-inertia (it's a new term I've learnt which means "stalling on a purchase due to information overload"...if you're a fellow geek, you'll understand) and thankfully, I have now resolved my oh-so First World Problem of "buying the best iPhone dock possible". Here I present my findings to fellow Amazonians, free of charge.
Summary: I have been very pleased with the sound quality of the unit. It is glorious. However I have found the performance to be frustrating and poor. The first unit that I got did a poor job of keeping my 60GB iPod photo (bought in 2005) charged. The iPod would run out of power from time to time and then I'd have to recharge it using a regular charger. After a while the DS9000 wouldn't work at all.
Summary: I hope Philips continually improves the software portion of the pairing between this speaker and the iPhone/iTouch. It has its quirks, regarding remote function, access to playlists/albums, etc. But it pays you back for these glitches in the aesthetic of its very accurate and refined sound. It has presence.
