WARNING: This Device Set Itself on Fire in a Nursery After a Month of Use
1 December 2013
Summary: My sister in law put this on her baby registry for the nursery. I feel terrible that I bought it for her because it set itself on fire on Thanksgiving day in the baby's room. She was using an approved device with the dock. The malfunction blew the melted plastic screen off of her iPhone, exposing the sim card. I posted a photo with a tweet to Philips and have yet to receive a real response (other than a standard "we'd like to look into it"): [...
Summary: I bought this speaker/dock for my massage therapy practice. I was expecting a speaker twice the size of what I received and was extremely bummed out. The speaker works fine for now, good sound, but just not what I wanted. I'll probably take this home and put it in our spare bedroom rather than use in my business.
Philips Fidelio DX3000 30 pin ipod/phone speaker dock

Summary: This little unit has a very strong solid base sound as well as emitting the whole tonal range. Searched high and low for this unit as the store where we purchased our first one no longer carried this product. We were so happy to have found it on amazon.
Summary: Overall, I'm pretty pleased with the sound and quality of this speaker system. My main reasons for buying it, is that it's a bit more portable that other ipod docking speakers and unlike a lot of other ipod docks, it runs on aa batteries, not an internal rechargeable battery that's going to lose it's portability once it will no longer hold a charge.
Summary: This has been a disappointing purchase. I've been trying to use it with my iPhone 4s running iOS 6. It was been glitchy, to say the least. Unlike most docking speakers which are simple plug-and-play machines, this requires an app download to use it properly. Without the app, i could not change the volume when playing music or streaming radio.
Summary: I do enjoy the output on this dock and the fact that you can battery operate it AND plug n an auxiliary device. My only complaint is plugging in the iPhone4 with an otterbox cover....doesn't work. Such a pain to take off and put on. Was planning on getting a new cover anyway, but for those who don't, its the price you pay. Still satisfied.
Summary: I received this for Christmas and had high hopes. On the upside, it is small and stylish...as much as a dock can be considered so. But, I have to say that I'm really disappointed with the product itself. I like music but I'm no audiophile and I'm totally technologically impaired so this review if from a completely low tech perspective. - I find the sound to be pretty mediocre.
Summary: We bought this for our son... and I must say it really sounds nice. I say this compared to other docks we have had. It is not a full-blown stereo system that can fill a house... but it isn't meant to be. If fills my son's bedroom just fine though.
Summary: I only do reviews here i if i think a product as earned it, or is just very bad. (the bad reviews never seem to make it it seems :>)..Any we have a house with iTouchs/ipods and iphones now. I never had one of these speaker docks before and wanted one for a Xmas gift. I decided on this one mostly because of the look, it seemed to have a bit of "apple" design to it which I liked.
