Summary: This was a Christmas (2013) present for my husband. He enjoyed it for approximately 6 months and then the cd player suddenly stopped working. He called Philips customer service and explained the problem to a technician who suggested several things to try to fix it, but nothing worked. The technician said to contact Amazon and the seller to see if we could get a replacement.
Summary: Works great. Store model with a couple of dents in the grill. Completely works for years now. Wish Philips had not discontinued this model when Iphone4 went to 5 with the new charger/interface. Wish they'd just altered the adapter or dropped the Apple-Iphone angle all together, as we just use the MP3 jack. The unit has great sound for a simple table model. We have one my wife bought new. She wanted another one and Philips had dropped the line, thus we bought a used one.
Summary: I needed a radio/cd player and was tired of paying $100 at big box stores and having them last a year and quit working. Bose waves are too much, and a friend suggested this Phillips. It has great sound, is easy to use and is small and cleanly designed.
Summary: When I designed a corporate spa, I put this system in all the rooms. I like the idea of each practitioner choosing their own music. Not only does this play music off each therapist's iPod or phone, but it plays cds, as *well* as a usb memory flash for, say, holiday music no one wants popping up in the middle of July. The remote is keen; now that I have my own spa, it reads from far away and almost around a corner I'm pretty impressed!
Summary: I have one at our house in New York and needed one for our house in Phoenix. It was a no brainer, I enjoy the sound and the convenience of ipod docking for my wife's ipod and of course the remote. A winner in my book.
Summary: This is a compact, sharp looking CD/IPod player which sounds pretty bad. I honestly can't believe people are praising the sound quality of this piece. I'm no audiophile, but I had a Panasonic player hooked up to two small Cambridge Soundworks speakers and the sound quality of the Cambridge speakers is light years better than the Philips sound quality. Seriously, this thing sounds like it's sitting in the bottom of the bathtub . . . .
