Logitech Wireless Boombox for iPad Review
17 April 2014
Summary: Even the best sounding tablets and smartphones are still sonically deficient, and some are just downright awful. What the Logitech Wireless Boombox for iPad does is bring a whole new audio experience to your portable device, and not just your iPad, but your Android tablet, BlackBerry smartphone, and...
Pros: Can You Hear Me Now?:, Tastefully Decorated:, Bluetooth Done Right:, Decent Battery Life:
Excerpt: The Logitech Ultimate Ears (UE) Mobile Boombox is just what the name suggests; Mobile. For the boombox part, it’s got two 1-inch full range drivers and what appears to be an incredibly well placed sub-woofer (although we’re not sure if there is actually one on this).
Conclusion: What can I say? Logitech UE, you’ve produce another top notch piece of hardware that sits proudly on top of my portable audio hardware list. It’s not cheap at $250, but you’ll be incredibly happy with your purchase and the never look back.
Logitech UE Mobile Boombox Bluetooth Speaker Review
21 March 2013
Conclusion: For its size and price range, this is one of the best mobile speakers I’ve used. Yes, there are bigger ones that produce better sound and deeper bass, but nothing as small as the Logitech UE Mobile Boombox. I’m going to have to give this a big thumbs up and a 5 out of 5 rating.
Pros: Great sound for the size — dual 1-inch drivers inside this tiny box get mighty loud without getting too cruddy. Rubberized outer shell helps it stay put during playback, and you can pick from an array of colors. Works as a speakerphone. Battery charges over USB and lasts nine hours. Easy to pair....
Cons: Not much bass to speak of. Same with stereo separation. Logitech claims a 50-foot wireless range, but it’s closer to about 20.
Excerpt: There's a new portable wireless speaker in the neighborhood. Until the next best thing soon follows that is. Back when Logitech released its Mini Boombox and then quickly dusting it under the carpet, the small and glossy speaker had its fair share of issues on all fronts.
