Summary: Overall, very pleased with the sound and mostly pleased with the interface and durability.
Pros: Portable, good battery life, recharges quickly, great sound
Cons: Since it is so portable (car, boat, RV, etc) it needs a 12v charging option; my remote always had a little trouble and has now quit working. Docking interface is too short - I have to remove the cover of my iPhone to dock it to the speaker.
Summary: Bought this in December 2010 and have used it at least once per week. My main function for this is listening to music outdoors (in parks, on the beach, etc.), so I generally only listen to it on battery. I usually listen to a wide assortment of electronic music genres on it.
Summary: For the sound, the value, and its portability, not aware of any other competitor in this arena that is even close. Also, when using a headphone amp in line with an MP3 player while on the battery, I could replicate the sound of the system on AC power.
Pros: Superb vocal definition, good bass for its size, portable, fine value
Cons: Deep bass and hi dynamic range are not there. I compared the Logitech to the much larger & heavier M-Audio M-40 speakers and except for vocal clarity, the M-40's were superior but not in a way that made the Logitech's seem like they were not still good speakers.
Summary: OK, this thing gives amazing sound performance for the size and price; AS LONG AS IT'S PLUGGED IN! It also runs on internal rechargeable batteries, but they apparently aren't up to the power requirements; because the fullness and dimensional presence of the music simply disappears when you pull the...
Summary: I bought this speaker for a desktop computer, MP3 player and iPhone. This speaker system is heavily built and seems quality constructed. I was surprised at the sound quality and bass output this unit puts out. The only drawback and my reason for not giving it 5 stars is a battery issue.
Pros: Great Sound Portability Semi-Compact Easily carried with you
Cons: No way to easily disconnect battery to keep it from being overcharged.
Summary: Right out of the box and plugged in the unit produced very good sound. At first I thought the kickstand was flimsy and was not supporting the unit well. Another review here helped resolve this by pointing out that it needs to be pushed in harder than one may think, and then it really does lock in.
Excerpt: Several Christmases ago my teenage son asked for a speaker system that would allow him to play and change his ipod. To be honest I knew (and still know) very little about music systems and so had no idea what model to buy.
Pros: excellent sound quality, robust, well priced
Excerpt: Since I first owned an iPod around 5 years ago, I had never got around to researching and buying a speaker dock for it. This review seeks to describe the unit I have recently bought, the Logitech S715i. What is it?
Summary: This is very likely the best sounding dock in its price category. In addition to the apple connector it has also a 3.5 mm audio input, which ensures compatibility with just about any sound source. The sound quality when using the battery is clearly less impressive but it is ok.
