Great product just bought it today and it sounds great.

Pros: great sound, nice deisgn, portable
Cons: Doesnt connect with the iphone if you have it in a protective case which is a shame as most people like me dont have their iphone without a case. One other thing i would have liked is a small screen on the front for the time and titles of songs
Excerpt: Several Christmases ago my teenage son asked for a speaker system that would allow him to play and change his ipod. To be honest I knew (and still know) very little about music systems and so had no idea what model to buy. I knew I didn’t want to spend a fortune but did want something with good sound quality; as I would be listening to his music whether I wanted to or not!
Pros: excellent sound quality, robust, well priced
Excerpt: Since I first owned an iPod around 5 years ago, I had never got around to researching and buying a speaker dock for it. This review seeks to describe the unit I have recently bought, the Logitech S715i. What is it? The Logitech S715i is a portable speaker dock which apparently fits any of the apple iPhone or iPod devices released prior to the new connector seen on the iPhone 5.
Summary: I was recommended this by a friend and, after reading other reviews, stumped up the cash to pay for it. Having had cheaper docks in the past, this is the best investment I've made. Well worth the money I paid for it and would have paid more. The sound is clear and the system is easy to use. I was happy to find that it comes with a European adapter so I can take it away when travelling. It also comes with a neat carry case.
Summary: This is very likely the best sounding dock in its price category. In addition to the apple connector it has also a 3.5 mm audio input, which ensures compatibility with just about any sound source. The sound quality when using the battery is clearly less impressive but it is ok. My unit had a defective battery which was replaced by Logitech without any hassle (UPS brought it to home door).
Summary: The sound quality of this ipod dock is astonishing, given the size and price. This is from the perspective of a hifi geek. It goes very loud without distortion, the bass is a lot fuller than it should be and the sound really fills a lot of space. As other reviewers have said, the available volume reduces a bit on battery power compared with mains. So what? I guess you get more battery life in exchange. I do have some issues.
Summary: If your looking for a no fuss, portable and great sounding ipod dock then this really is the class leader at the moment. Logitech speaker products have historically been rather bass heavy, but I like base, and this lends the speaker a very meaty sound that will easily fill a medium to large size room which makes it ideal for parties.
A portable speaker dock with brilliant sound quality

Summary: There's no doubt that this speaker dock throws out a decent sound and indeed it received very favourable reviews from influential hi-fi magazines. The only things that counts against it really are its width and the fact that the docked ipod or i-phone sits atop the speaker with nothing to lean back on. It's awkward having it so high up, especially if you are using the dock and I-pod combination as a bedside alarm clock.
Summary: Just thought I would do a quick review of the S715i as I am so impressed with it, and also so that it may help other buyers who have also received a `faulty' remote control unit. The sound quality is excellent and is far far superior to the cheaper units I have bought, and it goes fairly loud, and with very little distortion.
