Reviews and Problems with Logitech Pure-Fi Anytime

Nice design, poor functionality.

Summary: I was sold on the design of this dock mainly because the ipods sits in a recessed dock and is somewhat protected. The LCD is very readable and isn't annoyingly bright at night. The biggest problem that I have is with the dock connector. It doesn't always seat properly when the correct dock is used. It will emit a high pitched squeal and/or not charge, but other functions work. Logitech has replaced it twice, but I still have similar problems.
Summary: The unit crashes 90% of the time whenever I set the alarm to play music from the iphone. No back up alarm sounds and the clock gets frozen as well, so if you rely on this feature to wake you up in the morning, you will oversleep. If you use the iphone's built in alarm clock when docked, it will play through the speakers however and you can play or stream music through the speakers as well.
Summary: I bought this based on positive reviews that I read here-and for the most part they hold true. The motion sensor is a plus, the overall control layout is logical. I find that the sound quality is what you would expect from a unit in this price point-fair. I did have a couple of issues that resulted in my return of the unit. The first is that the alarm would not work with my ipods.
Summary: This clock has all the features you would want, and looks pretty nice, too. Unfortunately, mine froze up everytime I changed the input (iPod to FM to AM) and required me to unplug it and remove the battery to reset it. It seems like Logitech's audio products, while gorgeous and cool, have very low quality control these days. I've had other Logitech iPod audio products exhibit bugs or defects.
Summary: Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program ( What's this? ) Oh how I waited in anticipation for this unit, thinking it would solve my iPhone 3G needs and be such a relief not to stab wildly at the unit to snooze it. I suppose, in the case of the latter, it does. Even with my Griffin Elan Form case on my iPhone 3G, the phone still fits in the dock perfectly, and charges without issue.
Summary: I read the reviews of many similar products before choosing this one, and I must say that I regret my decision. There are a number of things about this product that still need work. The most important is that the alarms are not foolproof or reliable. If using an iphone, you must put the iphone into ipod mode in order for the ipod alarm to work.
Summary: Purchased this item from Amazon, it arrived without problem, and I soon had the ipod plugged in and playing music. I have no grumbles about the sound quality for the price, and the functions such as the dimmer and the hand hover to light up the controls are all very smart (remote control is useful too). Unfortunately I was let down by the clock!
