Summary: Recommended this set of speakers to a friend who was looking for some speakers to enhance the music they listened to from an iPad. This unit was in competition with some other well known hi-fi brand models familiar to my friend, but I assured them of Logitech's credentials in making quality audio products. Setup was a little fiddly because the manual missed a step or two in instructing users how to configure the unit with the iPhone or iPad, but once connected ...
Summary: Having owned a Logitech AudioStation for several years and using it as my iPod dock, I've been looking for a replacement after it developed a fault and started shorting my iPod and turning the volume down itself. I thought I'd stick with Logitech as I had a great experience with the AudioStation, so after a bit of research found the UE Airplay for £99.95 at the time of purchase.
Summary: This is a beautiful piece of kit retailing quite amazingly cheap but with quality oozing from it. It does need an adaptor to connect the newest iPad etc. and that is the only crit I would make, bringing the stars down to four .
Summary: I came across this speaker when searching for dock systems featuring airplay, my primary reason for buying it and replacing an already very good Logitech S715i for my kitchen / dining room. The speaker is easy to setup, compact but is reassuringly hefty and has a premium-ish feel to it. Like some others have said at £300 this speaker is too expensive, but for £100 it is an absolute steal.
Summary: Great product! with the cooperation with premium earphone producers UE, Logitech has made a great airplay speaker for a firsttimer. The initial setup was easy if u got an iPhone or iPad to plug in the dock for setup, then it just works. The sound is great, only downside is when u turn the volume up to the high party levels, one can notice distorts and scratches. But as a kitchen speaker, I never listen to that loud music, so this downside was never a problem for me.
