Summary: There are a few things I like about the Klipsch iGroove that I prefer over the Bose SoundDock. The Klipsch iGroove sound is much more crisp, not as boomy and bass heavy as the Bose. If you want lots of bass, go with the Bose, if you want accuracy and crispness for Pop, Jass, Classical and Rock, go with the Klipsch. The Klipsch has a small footprint and is smaller, but packs an amazing punch. The price is about 50% what you will pay for the Bose SoundDock.
Summary: This product is awesome. I gifted this to my wife who uses her Iphone4s to listen to music.. You can even use it for music from youtube on the iphone. I also connected this speaker to my tv and trust me. The output is awesome. The bass is sweet & clear. The packaging was perfect & excellent quality.(comes in a big box though) Pros : Awesome sound quality, Bass & compatibility with iphone4s & other phones or mp3 players Cons : None to my knowledge.
Summary: Let me preface this review by saying I paid $56 (that's one-half of one hundred dollars, in case Amazon edits that out of my review) including shipping for this iPod sound system and even if I had paid double that, it would be well worth it! I knew the merits of Klipsch speakers already, as I have one of their surround sound systems hooked up to my TV.
Summary: Using my own iPOD i did a sound comparison between the Bose iPOD speakers and this Klipsch iPOD speaker. I had actually set out to buy the Bose. The Bose was very mellow sounding. I chose the Klipsch because the highs and lows were crisper.
Summary: The size and sound of the Klipsch is great for what it is. It is nice and compact and the sound is large in comparison to its size. The only issue I had was my Iphone 4s would not fit into the docking area. The reason is my Iphone is encased in a Otter Protection Sleeve and makes the Iphone very bulky. Thankfully, we still use an old Iphone 3 as an Ipod and it worked out great.
Summary: I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this product. Especially when compared to a Bose sound dock, this device is definitely worth 1/4 of the price. The bass output also surpassed my expectations.
Summary: This does the trick in the kitchen. It really is quite small compared to most units like this, which is great. The sound quality is more than good enough. Don't expect miracles and you won't be disappointed. It is thankfully free of that mid-bass boost that many such units have to pretend they have true bass when they don't--that gets annoying and this unit spares me that. I don't think I'd use this in a large room, unless I were listening from a position close to it.
Summary: I had heard the Klipsch iGrove SXT Speaker, a year ago, when I was looking around in Best Buy. I didn't think there was anything to compare with it other than the Bose. Two weeks ago I bought one from Amazon and I couldn't be more pleased. Great sound from a remarkably small package. Klipsch has been a high quality brand for decades and their innovations in sound reproduction are truly inspired.
Summary: This is a terrific sound dock from Klipsch. I upgraded to this from the previous version of Klipsch SXT and I am very happy with my purchase. The most important thing for any sound dock is the "Sound quality". Everything else is secondary. What good is a car with all the bells and whistles when it doesn't handle well? Similarly, a dock should serve its primary purpose. I tested a variety of docks before buying this.
Summary: You won't be disappointed by this unit. I struggled for a while deciding whether I should spend twice the money for the Bose unit and finally decided on this one. Sound quality is excellent and so is the construction of the unit itself. It has some weight to it and feels solid. You can spend twice the money on the Bose but unless you are a real audiophile, I think you'll be satisfied with this for the price.
