Summary: I read the reviews and thought that I could save a $100 over the cost of a Bose and get sound quality that was as good. Initially I was pleased, as I unpacked the unit it looked well made and was super easy to set up, even the first day of listening left me happy. But the more we used it the more distortion we got from the speakers, even with full treble and as little bass as I could get from the iPod the sound was terrible.
Summary: The iGroove SXT sounded good and worked as advertised for six months and then failed. At that point, neither Klipsch or the seller (SpddyS LLC) would do anything to make things right. I am now stuck with a useless product. I am very disappointed by the early failure of the iGroove SXT and by this poor customer support.
Summary: There are a few things I like about the Klipsch iGroove that I prefer over the Bose SoundDock. The Klipsch iGroove sound is much more crisp, not as boomy and bass heavy as the Bose. If you want lots of bass, go with the Bose, if you want accuracy and crispness for Pop, Jass, Classical and Rock, go with the Klipsch. The Klipsch has a small footprint and is smaller, but packs an amazing punch. The price is about 50% what you will pay for the Bose SoundDock.
Summary: This product is awesome. I gifted this to my wife who uses her Iphone4s to listen to music.. You can even use it for music from youtube on the iphone. I also connected this speaker to my tv and trust me. The output is awesome. The bass is sweet & clear. The packaging was perfect & excellent quality.(comes in a big box though) Pros : Awesome sound quality, Bass & compatibility with iphone4s & other phones or mp3 players Cons : None to my knowledge.
Summary: I bought this at the end of November 2011 as a Christmas present for myself. I loved it for about 7 weeks then noted a rattle in the right speaker...very annoying with any song with base. I did not drop or damage the igroove...nor do I play it loud...the noise started in the middle of a song. Only a 30 day return policy...so as someone else stated now it is an expensive ipod charger. Very disappointed.
Summary: Let me preface this review by saying I paid $56 (that's one-half of one hundred dollars, in case Amazon edits that out of my review) including shipping for this iPod sound system and even if I had paid double that, it would be well worth it! I knew the merits of Klipsch speakers already, as I have one of their surround sound systems hooked up to my TV.
Summary: I have been a fan of Klisch speakers for many years. When I foind the iGroove I was glad to see it as an alternative to the Bose Dockstation. I was searching for an iPod player with a remote that I can use in my music and teaching studio to teach my students songs from their personal playlists. I also wanted a device I could use to play along with. I had been considering the Bose. Even the reconditioned one was nearly $100.
Summary: Using my own iPOD i did a sound comparison between the Bose iPOD speakers and this Klipsch iPOD speaker. I had actually set out to buy the Bose. The Bose was very mellow sounding. I chose the Klipsch because the highs and lows were crisper.
Summary: This works terrific with the iphone 4S, and sounds great in a fairly large bedroom. The price is about 1/3 a Bose system. The small remote is helpful if you are in bed. Make no mistake, this is not a poor-sounding clock radio, but a full fledged stereo speaker system. It is convenient in that it charges the phone while it is in the dock. Took off one star for the need to add support behind the iphone, as others have commented.
Summary: The size and sound of the Klipsch is great for what it is. It is nice and compact and the sound is large in comparison to its size. The only issue I had was my Iphone 4s would not fit into the docking area. The reason is my Iphone is encased in a Otter Protection Sleeve and makes the Iphone very bulky. Thankfully, we still use an old Iphone 3 as an Ipod and it worked out great.
