Not bad at all (3GS review)

A. Fogg, Amazon
16 November 2009
  • Summary: Ok lets get the two negative things out of the way first. If you try to connect an iPhone 3GS up to this dock, it will tell you it isn't made to work with the 3GS and prompts you to activate Aircraft Mode to reduce audio inteference. If you press no, it still works just fine. That said, I haven't been called while using the dock to play music, so I have no idea how bad the interference will be.

Excellent sound but...

M. D. Harrison "Mark", Amazon
11 November 2008
  • Summary: Love the product but should just point out that for new generation ipod touch, while it is a dock it does not recharge whilst in use. This is the only drawback if you are going to use it for an extended period ie: a party. If it was not for this one point I would have given all 5 stars. For the money the sound quality is fantastic, almost too much bass, and I never thought I would say that for such small speaker unit.

Steady on folks, some bad points too

Tom, Amazon
8 August 2008
  • Summary: This is the best sounding dock available in my view (for more enthusing about how great this sounds see the other reviews). BUT you should be aware of some bad points too. This unit is not compatible with any iPod alarm clock function. When there's no music going into it the iGroove automatically shuts down after ten minutes so you can't use the iPod alarm with the 3.5mm jack either. With the iPod docked there is no low volume on this thing!

An honest review for once!

Mr. J. L. Stembridge, Amazon
26 January 2008
  • Summary: I was recently looking for an ipod dock, all I wanted was one that sounded good, and maybe looked good (i'm quite shallow) So after much thought I went with the Igroove, even though I was close to choosing the JBL Radial. I'm glad I didn't. Recieved my Igroove via courrier ~(citylink uk) and was quite excited about seeing it, I was initially dissapointed as it was smaller than I imagined but set it up anyway.

Great but doesn't work with new Nano

P. A. Jones, Amazon
17 December 2007
  • Summary: I agree with everything said about the sound you get for the price. However I bought a 3rd generation nano to use with this and when using the supplied "Nano" bracket it actually covers the ipods scroll wheel. If I don't use the bracket I can touch MOST of the wheel, but then the back of the ipod isn't supported and so the connection would soon break. So I've kept the igroove and sent back the nano (which was faulty also) and gone for a classic instead.

Good little system

D. Gwynne "David Gwynne", Amazon
1 October 2007
  • Summary: As long as you don't expect *too much from the Klipsch, you will be very pleased. The bass is very midrange, but you just have to accept that, coming from such small enclosures. The overall sound is good - better when not up too close and in a medium sized room - in a small room they sound boxy. They do sound better than the Bose system in my opinion, which is fantastic considering the price difference!

Excellent value

Burger, Amazon
11 September 2007
  • Summary: There is absolutely no doubt that this is the best sounding CHEAP ipod speaker system on the market - it really will amaze your friends. After a long while researching & listening to various systems i bought the klipsch based on the reviews, its price tag and portability. For the money it is exceptional with lots of bass & good looks to boot, it also sounds as good as the Bose.

Superb speakers

S. L. Rowlands, Amazon
13 August 2007
  • Summary: Fantastic speakers. Sound is excellent and I like the look. My only complaint is the 2nd generation nano docking adaptor does not fit. However, Klipsch are aware of this and a new adaptor can be obtained from klipsch. When I ordered this their website was klipsch.com Select iGroove HG and go to the email link (which was promedia@klipsch.com) It worked well with my obscure mp3 player and as I said it works with the 2nd gen nano but for a secure fit you will need to get...

Give warmth and depth to digital music

68Dastardly, Amazon
24 May 2007
  • Summary: Out of the box this iGrove is a very easy set up. Testing / listening to a variety of tracks from hip hop to pop to musical theatre to Latin to movie soundtracks you will love the warmth and depth of sound, which Klipsch states touches your sole; yep music brings memories and smiles and the iGrove wraps it in a pleasurable delivery package. On playing Speaker Box I listen to deep rounded base, which is a bit deep for me but I have no way of altering the settings.

Best on the Market?

A. Malone, Amazon
2 May 2007
  • Summary: I have had my i-groove for 4 months now and it has totally changed the way i listen to music. The ultra expensive Technics seperates have been boxed and stored away in the loft! Soundwise it is excellent with a rich harmonic room filling sound. Even at low volumes it can be heard upstairs! My only slight gripe is when its cranked, the i-pod vibrates against the dock which can be heard quite significantly. That is why i wont give it 5 stars.
