Summary: I bought the JBL OnBeat Micro dock a few days ago. It's aesthetically very nice, and produces decent sound. I could even live with its super short and inconvenient lightning connector (got an adapter, so I would be able to plug in iPhone 6 without removing it from the case).
Summary: We bought 2 of these. Overall I think it's a nice looking product and works well the sound quality is good form factor is good. Now here comes the bad part. Excerpt: It does not do any of these at the same time
-Charging: It shows that it's charging but it the battery level never goes up it goes down.
-Docking on Batteries: Speaker does not work at all after my last firmware update trial.
I am not sure how long the firmware update should last.
Summary: I purchased this unit in hopes that it would charge my phone and I could use it to wake up to music using the iHome app that fades in the music gradually as an alarm. Well, come to find out that if it doesn't have any sound coming into it, it shuts off after a short while.
Summary: Bought this unit to upgrade to the lightning connector and replace an older JBL unit (OnStage Micro with 30 pin connector). This newer unit shuts off and does not wake up when Iphone 5 starts playing. JBL technical support was not able to help.
Excerpt: I bought this dock for my office. I had an old version that worked well with my old phone. I am sorry to say this one does not work. My phone does not connect (for charge or music playback) at least 80% of the time. I wrote to JBL and have yet to hear back from anyone.
