Summary: This is my second JBL speaker dock and until a few days ago I was very happy with it - small footprint and good sound. My husband and I both have iPhone 4s's. He update to ios 7 a little while ago and reported that he could no longer use the dock as a speaker. I just updated myself with the same result. I get an error message on my phone saying the phone is not compatible with the device. The dock will charge my phone, but no longer works as a speaker.
Summary: I purchased the JBL iPod docking station to have at the Firesky resort. It is perfect! Not to loud to bother other guests, but just loud enough for our group in the pool to hear. You can plug this into a wall outlet or use 4 AAA batteries. The only bad thing is that when you are using the battery feature, it does not charge your iPod. That is the only thing that I didn't like. The battery life is about 4 constant hours then they have to be changed.
Summary: Better than I thought after reading the reviews. Sounds great and easily portable. Haven't used the battery yet, only plugged in. We use it mainly for the patio and outside deck. I was looking for something that was small and puts off good sound and this does. Only reason I didn't give it 5 starts is because of price. Seems a little steep for something of this sort.
Summary: I use mine at the beach and it's awesome for the size. People look and say wheres that music coming from? I dock my Droid with a 3.5mm patch cable so I can listen to Pandora. I have a small IPOD Nano and it works great as well. If you want to listen to radio from the IPOD you have to use the 3.5 cable as well since it acts as the antenna. Use rechargeable batteries and your set. I take a extra set of 4 just in case but I went all day and did'nt have to change them out.
Summary: I wanted a small speaker/docking system for my iPod touch 4th gen (released Sept 2010). Apple upgraded the charging system on this model making it incompatible with other speaker/dock systems. I found it very confusing to understand weather my iPod would work on this system or not. I took a chance, and it does indeed work! The unit is about the same dimension as a 15 pack of dvd's. For such a small form, it has excellent sound.
Summary: I also have the JBL OnStage Micro III, but actually prefer the Micro II. It is so small, but provides a strong sound. Since the device itself can charge your iphone/ipod, there is no need to bring your separate charger when you take the JBL traveling. Using a free app on the iphone, I utilized the MicroIII and was able to have a white noise sound screen on a recent trip. Big fan of this little device.
Summary: This little device has greatly surpassed any original hopes I had for it. I have an iPhone 4, iPod Classic 160gb and iPod brick and they all work perfectly on it. The sound is better than I expected but don't expect a full theater experience. I think for the average consumer this would be fine but audiophiles beware, this may not live up to your stringent standards! I would compared this to a good oem car audio system. It contains the classic JBL sound..
