Summary: First of all, don't believe all of the claims that people make stating this unit sounds every bit as good as a Bose Acoustic Wave stereo, I have one and this unit does not compare. Having said that, I will also say I paid far more for the Bose than I did for the 200ID and the 200ID sounds very good - especially the mid-range and upper end. As with most stereos, I have certain recordings I like to hear right away to "test" it or at least compare to other sources.
Summary: The Amazon purchase company is top-notch - would order from them again. The speaker sound is incredible - but apparently the remote control's own infrared signal interferes with the speaker and causes it to cut-out (basically go silent for 30 seconds or 2 minutes) randomly. It then turns itself back on and you're thinking "WT...?" JBL needs to sort that out to make this a 5 star product.
Summary: I bought this speaker for my GF since it was JBL, had great reviews, and it was for a low price. I loved the product's design and it was a great name brand so I expected it to be of high quality. The sound was great but during the first week of use the volume started flunctuating by itself. You could put it at the lowest volume setting and 2 minutes later it was very loud. Unfortunatly I had to send it back.
Summary: Yesterday I bought a JBL on stage micro III, which I returned today because of its shallow tinny sound. In its place I purchased the JBL on stage 200lD which is far superior in quality. The additional $20 is well worth it. The sound is rich. If you intend to buy this in the store instead of through Amazon, take your Ipod with you. It's the best way to hear the difference rather than through the store set-up.
Summary: This is a fine product. It's got a very small foot print (I was expecting much larger), but the sound it puts out is great. I'm not an audiophile, but at the same time, I can tell that this will be satisfactory sound quality for most people. The build quality is excellent. The mesh is a cloth fabric over the plastic enclosure. There are two volume buttons on the top right in front of the dock.
Summary: I bought this a couple of weeks ago and I'm pleased with the way it performs its surprising skinny and long but the sound is good the only problem I have with this product is that I ordered a black one and received a silver one but apart from that it's fine. I would recommend this product but I personally think that my friends JBL on time 200 sounds better though it is a little larger.
Summary: This Item is a very good device if you are interested in a medium/high entry level sound system. Its not the best of what money can buy. i.e B&W Zeppelin Air would be much better, though almost none other sound system can beat JBL ONSTAGE in terms of sound performance versus price. So It's a very good choice if you don't want to spend too much, or if the room where you place it is too small.
Summary: This is a really good speaker. Sound is good quality and the machine itself is not an eyesore and doesn't take up much room. The only reason that I haven't given it 5 stars is that the remote control is rubbish and has never really worked, so when I want to pause, etc, something I have to go traipsing across the room to do it manually on my Ipod (bit annoying). However, I would still recommend it.
