Summary: First of all, don't believe all of the claims that people make stating this unit sounds every bit as good as a Bose Acoustic Wave stereo, I have one and this unit does not compare. Having said that, I will also say I paid far more for the Bose than I did for the 200ID and the 200ID sounds very good - especially the mid-range and upper end. As with most stereos, I have certain recordings I like to hear right away to "test" it or at least compare to other sources.
Summary: The Amazon purchase company is top-notch - would order from them again. The speaker sound is incredible - but apparently the remote control's own infrared signal interferes with the speaker and causes it to cut-out (basically go silent for 30 seconds or 2 minutes) randomly. It then turns itself back on and you're thinking "WT...?" JBL needs to sort that out to make this a 5 star product.
Summary: Like other reviewers have said, this thing sounds great. It serves as our main household music station with a docked iPod Touch streaming Pandora and our resident iTunes library. We also have it plugged in to our HDTV via the 3.5mm input jack, and the sound quality and clarity are a VAST improvement over the TV's tinny, muffled rear-facing speakers.
Summary: The sound is incredible and definitely comparible with that of the bose sound dock 1. If you're looking at getting a used bose sound dock 1 on ebay, save yourself $40 or so and buy this. it has a lower profile and the remote does more functions specifically for the ipod and iphone operating system.
Summary: good quality of sound, easy of use. Price/Quality spot on. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to have something portable without compromise, without having to pay double or triple the price for a BOSE unit.
Great Speaker - Awkward shape - Works with ITouch 4g

Summary: The JBL On Stage 200ID has a great sound and is truly high-performance. My 4th generation Nano and Itouch 4G work beautifully with it - with or without the cases. I also connect the included mini-jack connector to my laptop for greater sound quality. The only problem I have with this device is the size and shape. The long, narrow shape makes it awkward to move, and it takes up too much space to be used on a night stand.
Summary: This speaker has decent sound quality, though I don't think it's as great as some others do. It's easy to use, other than being a little quirky to dock the Ipod. Once properly seated, it does everything it's supposed to quite well. I use it close to my desk where I can easily reach the Ipod for other tasks so I can't say a whole lot about the remote (other than it seems to be pretty cheap, but it does work).
Summary: I bought the onstage for my wife. We both really like it. It is mostly used in the kitchen so she can listen to her music as she cooks. The unit is about 14" long by about 4.5" wide but we will take it with us when we travel. As far as set up, there was none. You just plug in your ipod and touch the power button and begin listening to your music. We have no regrets with it. As far as buying it from JR.com, there was no problem.
Summary: I've had this dock for 2 years. Purchased when I first got my iPhone 3G. I've since purchased an iPhone 4 and it still works great. The fit isnt as snug but I can play/listen to my music and the remote works. I cant complain!
