my imaingo arrived defective - but we managed to repair it
2 December 2013
Summary: Subject: IMaingo review I purchased an IMaingo through Amazon.com. Just after my package arrived I opened the box and realized that it was defective. One of the contact points in the battery compartment was missing so that it could not work. Normally it takes four batteries but with the missing part, only three batteries could be utilized and of course nonfunctional. I have a very crafty partner who cannibalized my old I IMaingo.
Summary: Base on the reviews here, I ordered one earlier this year to take along for frequent trips overseas. It packs well, is solid and delivers amazing sound. I don't have an I Phone to fit inside, but simply plug in my MP3 and let it go. By adjusting the mixer on my Sansa Clip, the iMainGo delivers big sound from a little device.
Summary: All of you die-hard outdoorsy purists plug your ears... I took the iMainGo on a backpacking trip with three old buddies in Yosemite. Normally, when I pack, I choose silence over sound, however, this was kind of a reunion for old friends and music has always played a HUGE part in our adventures. I had purchased 2 other travel systems and returned them both due to poor design/sound quality before landing on the iMainGo. This system is GENIUS!
Summary: Length:: 2:29 Mins I made this video the first day I got my IMainGo2 because I fell in love with this product right away. These are the best portable speakers I have ever had. The sound is so rich and clean and can really lighten up a room. I hope from watching this video you can see how much I really love this product and i hope you will take my advice and get one ASAP!
Summary: These portable speakers are probably the best you can get right now. They cost a little more than most others but you get what you pay for. First off, putting the batteries in was not hard at all for me, took me less than 30 seconds. I don't know why so many people find it super hard to put the batteries in. The case part of the speaker system works great. It's nice and sturdy and will keep your Ipod or MP3 player well protected.
Summary: This is a top-notch product. I liked it so well I bought a 2nd. I added an extension speaker cable between my iMainGo & iPhone. I now have the best speakerphone I have ever owned. I keep the 2nd iMainGo in my car (same setup) giving me an almost hands-free speakerphone there too. I keep the iMainGo set to Alarm so it only uses the battery when I am on the phone. My only suggestion is it would be nice if it was rechargeable.
Summary: Summary: Pros - Good construction, AWESOME sound (good lows, clear upper range), protects music player, good bass, no noticeable distortion. Cons - $40 is a bit high, especially if you add $10 more for 4 rechargeable AAAs, but with these types of speakers you get what you pay for. The iMainGo2 surprised me with great sound quality.
Summary: This little device will blow you away. I bought this for my honeymoon so we could have tunes on the beach and at the pool. We used it with a few different ipods and an iphone and both work flawlessly through the vinyl window. The volume is enough to make you think you might be disturbing others around you and everyone that does notice is amazed at the sound quality from such a small device.
Summary: I have been looking for a while to find some portable speakers for my I-Pod and I-Touch. I also wanted something for my car since I didn't want them drilling my dash to install an I-Pod hook up. This arrived today and I am thrilled with this little device. The sound is amazing and it's very easy to use. Batteries were a breeze to put in..not sure why people have issues with this. If you want a handy portable I-Pod speaker case look no further.
