Summary: OK sound for such small speakers. It's very convenient to have the iPod and speakers in one small package. Note if you have some sort of "skin" or case on your iPid you will need to take it off in order for the iPod's touch controls to work through the clear, plastic window. The only thing I don't like about this is that the on/off switch and indicator light is inside. Because of that I burn through a lot of batteries when I accidentally left the device on.
my imaingo arrived defective - but we managed to repair it

Summary: Subject: IMaingo review I purchased an IMaingo through Amazon.com. Just after my package arrived I opened the box and realized that it was defective. One of the contact points in the battery compartment was missing so that it could not work. Normally it takes four batteries but with the missing part, only three batteries could be utilized and of course nonfunctional. I have a very crafty partner who cannibalized my old I IMaingo.
Summary: I drove Round trip 100kms to pick up a few items, this being one of them. I got home and opened the package and the battery compartment is missing the metal contacts so the unit does not work. I checked Amazon's website and they recommend contacting the manufacturer. I emailed them on Jan 9, 2013 and it is now Jan 13 and no reply. I am not happy with this transaction.
Summary: I ordered this for my 12-year old son. He asked for a cheaper product, but I thought I would upgrade to this one based on the generally positive reviews. The device we received has a defective cable connected to the interior of the box, and the sound is completely distorted. Don't waste your money on this. If I could select zero stars, this item would be my first-ever Amazon zero.
Great idea! But Cheap Speaker worked poorly, then died!

Summary: From the start the iMainGo2 Speaker sound would go on & off, high & low with static everytime there was any movement. After less than 10 uses, speaker just stopped working. Never could turn it on again. Too big to be a free prize in the cereal or Cracker Jack box, but that's where it belongs. I recommend the iTour-Pop Portable Rechargeable Speaker, which is what I ended up purchasing, and it works just GREAT! It's compact, sounds good and travels right in my purse.
Summary: I bought this for my wife and daughter to share for playing their ipods and iphone. It sounded great right out of the box the first day. After 4 times used, all inside our house, the spoeakers now sound fuzzy. We can't even listen to it any more. I am glad I did not pay full price for it, it was not even worth the lightning price.
Summary: I originally bought this item as a daily deal, so only paid $10 for it. Larger than the small pod speakers, but more powerful. 4 out of 5 stars because it goes through batteries pretty fast. Fits any type of MP3 player/device with an audio jack. Overall satisfied, would buy again.
