Summary: The On / Off switch is defective or at best temperamental, which affects battery life. However, when it functions, it's very good. Then again, one defective product is not to condemn the entire line. Given the price, it's not worth the effort to return this Amazon product.
Summary: This unit is OK but I wound up returning it due to the fact there is no DC adapter for it to run on AC current in a wall socket. I got tired of recharging my rechargeable AA's all the time and forget about using alkalines unless you have lots of money to burn on batteries. Instead, I got the "Genius SP-i200 Portable Speakers for MP3 Players" on Amazon that is only slightly larger in size but sounds better, is far louder and comes with a DC adapter (uses batteries too).
Summary: I take this with me on my holidays, but 2 things let it down. The battery cover has snapped, my fault, i was a bit heavy handed with it. and the on/off button protrudes too much from the body and it can be switched on by mistake in your bag and then the batteries get drained, which is a pain if you dont have rechargeables in. Nice enough sound though.
Summary: I bought this portable speaker as an alternative to taking big and clunky pc speakers on holiday to Zante with my mates and the price and the fact it was battery powered sold it for me. From reading previous reviews I was looking forward to recieving the item and trying it out. When the item came the packaging was very nice and reading the product info it seemed to be a brilliant product and brilliant value.
Good sound for price but on/off swith a major fault...

Summary: These make reasonable sound for their size and I like the design - they are about the size of a spectacle case and have a slip-over black fabric bag into which to pack the unit. The MAJOR problem is that the on/off switch is too easily knocked on in transit, also in the one I bought I can't even now get it to switch off! Take the precaution of setting volume level to zero before you pack it. Taking the batteries in and out for travel is an unnecessary pain.
Summary: As has been mentioned in other reviews there's no 'proper' on/off button so if the speaker is against something in your bag or in a draw then the batteries are sometimes flat when you come to use it. It's also not very loud in my opinion, not that I was expecting to be fantastic, but its a bit underwhelming. Would've given it 2 1/2 stars if I could.
Summary: it's ok, not that loud but loud enough if you sit by the pool you can hear it. Not sure but think my ones a bit tempramental, you have to switch ipod on and play it and then connect the speakers makes a funny sound for a asecond but then good as gold. Would i but it again? for the money, yes, qualities not bad fits in your pocket no problem , it's like the size of a galsses case. If you like rock music don't get it.
