Summary: This worked great and I used it once a month (for a total time of about 15 hours in 6 months - all indoors) and then it broke. UPDATE: 11 months after I bought it I decided to call the manufacturer and see if they can get it fixed - they simply sent me a new one the next day. All it took was 3 min for me to submit electronic support ticket and purchase receipt via their site. That is what I call a good service. Hence updating my rating from 2 stars to 4 stars.
Summary: I bought this product to use in my massage studio with my mp3 player. At first, I was pleased with the speakers. The volume wasn't particularly loud, but in a small massage room, it was perfect. It seemed a great deal for only $10. Unfortunately, they lasted me less than 2 months or so. Within no time the cable began malfunctioning and I had to fidget with it to keep the connection or the sound would be lost.
Summary: I needed this speaker quick for a presentation and am really disappointed because it does not work at all. Tried it on my ipad and iphone and for just a second got a really weak sound but then nothing. Apparently defective and I'm returning.
Summary: I bought this so I could better enjoy Mobitv on my cell phone. I put batteries in it and turned it on and it sounded ok. Not very loud but a bit better than my phone. I listened to it for about 5 minutes when it just stopped working. I tried three different sets of known working batteries but it was dead; returning it tomorrow. DON'T BUY!
Summary: Overall, a good product for its price. However, there is a small set back with regards to the battery compartment. More specifically, it is quite difficult to to remove the battery cover (it usually takes me several attempts before I can get it open), and it also difficult to remove batteries once installed.
iLuv iSP100 vs. iLuv iSP110 speaker: A case where the lower number is the superior speaker.

Summary: Don't be deceived by the larger size of the iSP110 or the hype about the "unbelievable" audio from either speaker. The iSP110 is considerably larger (with plenty of storage room for player and earphones) and uses 2 AA batteries; the iLuv iSP100 is far more compact, stylish, detailed, using 3 AAA batteries to achieve, if anything, better audio gain and fidelity than the iSP110.
Summary: The On / Off switch is defective or at best temperamental, which affects battery life. However, when it functions, it's very good. Then again, one defective product is not to condemn the entire line. Given the price, it's not worth the effort to return this Amazon product.
Summary: First of all, it's difficult to say to anyone that this thing rocks or has tremendous bass for it's size-common size sense tells us it's unlikely at best. That being said, this unit is great for what it is. Everyone hears things a bit differently and if you're used to using a subwoofer with your computer listening to music, you will undoubtedly be disappointed.
Summary: I read through the reviews of this product and thought it sounded like a good deal, so I bought one. I had the speakers a week before one of them busted and I barely had the volume up at all. (I work in an office setting and so the volume HAS to be turned low.) Also, as another reviewer pointed out the speaker constantly turn themselves on, especially if you carry it in a purse.
Summary: Definately do not buy as a primary speaker for an iPod. It should work fine for you as a travel speaker system, but keep in mind, that my biggest and only real complaint is that it kills my batteries too fast.
