Summary: I already have a Bose iPod dock, with rechargeable battery. I was looking for another way of playing my iPod through speakers, especially in places I didn't want to take the Bose (garage, work room, etc.). It actually sounds quite good. No, it doesn't sound like the $500 Bose I have; I didn't expect it to. But it sure didn't cost as much (about 1/20th the price). I'm happy with it. Incidentally, my Bose is obsolete... it was made for an older iPod.
Summary: This compares favorably to iPod speakers I have reviewed that were three times the price. It has decent sound for its size--you can't expect anything huge and majestic from speakers this tiny, but it does as nicely as a medium sized radio--and a decent battery life once it is charged up. Charging it is easy and you will want to do it about as often in proportion to hours of use as you would your phone or iPod. It gets quiet and wimpy as it runs low on battery power.
Summary: Comments about iHome iP46 Speaker System: Just received and plugged in my Ipod Touch. Great sound with out the tinny sound of some small speakers. Very light and portable. Really like the internal rechargeable battery. Also like the fold out legs that set the unit up at just the right angle.
Pros: Easy To Transport, Fast Charge, Great Interface, Great Sound, Stylish
