Summary: It stopped working after 3 weeks ... :( it's really cheaply made ... I guess I was hoping it was going to work just as good as another iHome I have (the other one is more expensive and better quality) ... so I was disappointed.
Summary: Definitely not stereo as described by seller or maker. It has horrible sound for a $37 item. No base at all. Not worth the cost. You can buy some of the same sound quality from Walmart for cheaper.
Summary: Ok, I know this isn't a full audio system, but my daughter has blown out the speakers in two of these from her iphone. Heck, I don't even know how the little battery in this thing could drive speakers hard enough to blow them out. That kind of quality is unacceptable even if it were free. Spend a few bucks more on a better quality system.
Summary: I already have a Bose iPod dock, with rechargeable battery. I was looking for another way of playing my iPod through speakers, especially in places I didn't want to take the Bose (garage, work room, etc.). It actually sounds quite good. No, it doesn't sound like the $500 Bose I have; I didn't expect it to. But it sure didn't cost as much (about 1/20th the price). I'm happy with it. Incidentally, my Bose is obsolete... it was made for an older iPod.
Summary: This little guy is awesome! I purchased it for listening to Pandora at home and at the beach. It has great sound for a small speaker. However it won't rattle the house! If you want the deep base this is not it. Overall I was impressed with the sound. At $25 you get what you pay for. I really enjoy it and yeah, i agree with what others are saying that you can't charge your phone (mine is an Android). The only drawback is the recharging of the speaker.
Summary: With the idea of replacing an old speaker system I used for my bedroom I decided to order the iHome Portable Speaker System. I incorrectly assumed I would be able to use it as a docking station for my iPhone, my bad for looking at the picture and not reading the product details. Hopefully you will read this and that will not happen to you. Since this is not a charging dock, the small ledge on the front only serves to place your device in it.
Summary: This compares favorably to iPod speakers I have reviewed that were three times the price. It has decent sound for its size--you can't expect anything huge and majestic from speakers this tiny, but it does as nicely as a medium sized radio--and a decent battery life once it is charged up. Charging it is easy and you will want to do it about as often in proportion to hours of use as you would your phone or iPod. It gets quiet and wimpy as it runs low on battery power.
Summary: I use this little speaker on the porch to listen to music and NPR in the mornings. It's not insanely loud but its decent. My kids use it also to play music around the house from their devices so it gets a lot of use. The battery life seems good, I haven't had it run out on me yet during a single use. You're not going to throw a house party with this, but its great for when you want a portable speaker.
Summary: For the most part I really like this speaker. There are many times that I find myself wanting a small portable speaker to carry around the house from room to room. Here are my thoughts on this item: Sounds Good- I think the sound quality for this little speaker is really good for it's size. I have no complaints about the sound at all. I think it sounds great.
