Incredible space saver with great sound but no way to save radio channels; batteries not rechargeable

Summary: This replaced a Sony CFD-E90 CD Radio Cassette Recorder which has the following dimensions: 14.5 x 13.8 x 9.4 inches. When installed this device barely occupied a 6" by 6" space. It gave us back and helped clean up a corner of our kitchen. It has great sound and works well with my ipod nano, charging it as it plays. The remote is handy and manages all functions. It was extremely easy to set up.
Summary: The idea of having a timer on it is really useful, but the interface is somehow not intuitive. Do not expect a vibrant sound of the speakers, not to mention the bass (I think probably there are no woofers). Dont even try to use it outdoor. The positives are: the price and the ipod/iphone dock. Overall, good product if you know exactly what you are looking for.
Summary: I do think this would work well in the kitchen. But, that was not what I was looking for. I was hoping to use this unit in the bedroom as an alarm clock. I liked that it had a small footprint for my small nightstand. I liked that the docking station retracts into the unit. Overall, it worked great, sounded great. But the clock itself is way too bright for the bedroom. It gives the whole room an eery blue glow.
Summary: I bought this device sometime ago. I wanted a clock radio which would charge the iPhone and iPod inc the Nano. This does the job and also has an additional USB connection port, the lead of course is not included. It is useful in the kitchen with the quick alarms which are easy to set and the machine plays well. The remote control is useful and fully functional on the iPhone/pod. It is a pleasant design and easy to clean.
