Summary: This unit sounded great but it didn't last. My first one died at almost a year. I sent it in for a replacement with a $30 in warranty fee. Within 4 months it quit again. The thing is that we didn't even use it very often. I will be looking for a better more reliable (and cheaper)alternative. I bought ours at a local big box store, not Amazon.
Summary: worked at first but then it stopped charging the ipod or iphone so i would not recommend buying it...it has good sound quality just don't like the fact that it stopped working like its supposed to
Summary: I bought this a few years ago and it still works fine. The only downside to it is that it does not charge my iPods when docked up, so I periodically need to pull it off the iHome and charge it. Other that that, the left speaker won't work sometimes unless I jiggle my iPod back and forth on the dock until I can hear stereo sound. But when it plays music properly, the sound is excellent.
Summary: Like many of the other reviewers state, worked flawlessly for about 2 months, then got spotty on the turn on. IM'd with tech support and learned the unplug trick. Would play from Ipod touch after unplugging overnight. Now indefinite unplugging does nothing. Getting return authorization ASAP.
Summary: I did some research before buying an iPod dock to replace my Athena dock that I had for years. I purchased an Altec Lansing IMT320 and it looked good on paper. Took delivery, hooked it up, powered it up and put on a song. It sounded weak and tinny. I had it set up in my garage and it just didn't measure up in any respect. Clarity was marginal. Volume was insufficient. I spent $60 on this unit. So, more research.
